1 O God, You have rejected us. You have broken us; You have been angry; O, restore us.

2 Y ou have made the land quake, You have split it open; Heal its breaches, for it totters.

3 Y ou have made Your people experience hardship; You have given us wine to drink that makes us stagger.

You have made Your people suffer hard things; You have given us to drink wine that makes us reel and be dazed.

4 Y ou have given a banner to those who fear You, That it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah.

You have set up a banner for those who fear and worshipfully revere You, a standard displayed because of the truth. Selah!

5 T hat Your beloved may be delivered, Save with Your right hand, and answer us!

8 “ Moab is My washbowl; Over Edom I shall throw My shoe; Shout loud, O Philistia, because of Me!”

Moab is My washpot; upon Edom I cast My shoe in triumph; over Philistia I raise the shout of victory.

9 W ho will bring me into the besieged city? Who will lead me to Edom?

Who will bring me into the strong city ? Who will lead me into Edom?

10 H ave not You Yourself, O God, rejected us? And will You not go forth with our armies, O God?

11 O give us help against the adversary, For deliverance by man is in vain.

12 T hrough God we shall do valiantly, And it is He who will tread down our adversaries.
