1 T he Lord says to my Lord: “ Sit at My right hand Until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.”

The Lord (God) says to my Lord (the Messiah), Sit at My right hand, until I make Your adversaries Your footstool.

2 T he Lord will stretch forth Your strong scepter from Zion, saying, “ Rule in the midst of Your enemies.”

The Lord will send forth from Zion the scepter of Your strength; rule, then, in the midst of Your foes.

3 Y our people will volunteer freely in the day of Your power; In holy array, from the womb of the dawn, Your youth are to You as the dew.

Your people will offer themselves willingly in the day of Your power, in the beauty of holiness and in holy array out of the womb of the morning; to You Your young men, who are as the dew.

4 T he Lord has sworn and will not change His mind, “You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek.”

The Lord has sworn and will not revoke or change it: You are a priest forever, after the manner and order of Melchizedek.

5 T he Lord is at Your right hand; He will shatter kings in the day of His wrath.

The Lord at Your right hand will shatter kings in the day of His indignation.

6 H e will judge among the nations, He will fill them with corpses, He will shatter the chief men over a broad country.

He will execute judgment upon the nations; He will fill the valleys with the dead bodies, He will crush the heads over lands many and far extended.

7 H e will drink from the brook by the wayside; Therefore He will lift up His head.

He will drink of the brook by the way; therefore will He lift up His head.
