3 B ut the righteous shall rejoice: they shall exult before God and be glad with joy.

4 S ing unto God, sing forth his name; cast up a way for him that rideth in the deserts: his name is Jah; and rejoice before him.

6 G od maketh the solitary into families; those that were bound he bringeth out into prosperity: but the rebellious dwell in a parched.

7 O God, when thou wentest forth before thy people, when thou didst march through the wilderness—(Selah)—
O God, when You went forth before Your people, When You marched through the wilderness, Selah.
8 T he earth trembled, the heavens also dropped at the presence of God, yon Sinai, at the presence of God, the God of Israel.
The earth quaked; The heavens also dropped rain at the presence of God; Sinai itself quaked at the presence of God, the God of Israel.
9 T hou, O God, didst pour a plentiful rain upon thine inheritance, and when it was weary thou strengthenedst it.
You shed abroad a plentiful rain, O God; You confirmed Your inheritance when it was parched.
10 T hy flock hath dwelt therein: thou hast prepared in thy goodness, for the afflicted, O God!
Your creatures settled in it; You provided in Your goodness for the poor, O God.
11 T he Lord gives the word: great the host of the publishers.
The Lord gives the command; The women who proclaim the good tidings are a great host:
12 K ings of armies flee; they flee, and she that tarrieth at home divideth the spoil.
“ Kings of armies flee, they flee, And she who remains at home will divide the spoil!”
13 T hough ye have lain among the sheepfolds, wings of a dove covered with silver, and her feathers with green gold.
When you lie down among the sheepfolds, You are like the wings of a dove covered with silver, And its pinions with glistening gold.
14 W hen the Almighty scattered kings in it, it became snow-white as Zalmon.
When the Almighty scattered the kings there, It was snowing in Zalmon.
15 m ount Bashan is the mount of God, a many-peaked mountain, mount Bashan.
A mountain of God is the mountain of Bashan; A mountain of many peaks is the mountain of Bashan.
16 W hy do ye look with envy, ye many-peaked mountains, upon the mount that God hath desired for his abode? yea, Jehovah will dwell for ever.
Why do you look with envy, O mountains with many peaks, At the mountain which God has desired for His abode? Surely the Lord will dwell there forever.
17 T he chariots of God are twenty thousand, thousands upon thousands; the Lord is among them: it is a Sinai in holiness.

18 T hou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts in Man, and even the rebellious, for the dwelling of Jah Elohim.
You have ascended on high, You have led captive Your captives; You have received gifts among men, Even among the rebellious also, that the Lord God may dwell there.
19 B lessed be the Lord: day by day doth he load us, the God who is our salvation. Selah.
Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden, The God who is our salvation. Selah.
20 O ur God is the God of salvation; and with Jehovah, the Lord, are the goings forth from death.
God is to us a God of deliverances; And to God the Lord belong escapes from death.
21 V erily God will smite the head of his enemies, the hairy scalp of him that goeth on still in his trespasses.
Surely God will shatter the head of His enemies, The hairy crown of him who goes on in his guilty deeds.
22 T he Lord said, I will bring again from Bashan, I will bring again from the depth of the sea;
The Lord said, “ I will bring them back from Bashan. I will bring them back from the depths of the sea;
23 T hat thou mayest dip thy foot in blood: the tongue of thy dogs has its portion from enemies.
That your foot may shatter them in blood, The tongue of your dogs may have its portion from your enemies.”
24 T hey have seen thy goings, O God, the goings of my God, my King, in the sanctuary.
They have seen Your procession, O God, The procession of my God, my King, into the sanctuary.
25 T he singers went before, the players on stringed instruments after, in the midst of maidens playing on tabrets.
The singers went on, the musicians after them, In the midst of the maidens beating tambourines.
26 I n the congregations bless ye God, the Lord,— from the fountain of Israel.
Bless God in the congregations, Even the Lord, you who are of the fountain of Israel.
27 T here is little Benjamin, their ruler; the princes of Judah, their company; the princes of Zebulun, the princes of Naphtali.
There is Benjamin, the youngest, ruling them, The princes of Judah in their throng, The princes of Zebulun, the princes of Naphtali.
28 T hy God hath commanded thy strength: strengthen, O God, that which thou hast wrought for us.
Your God has commanded your strength; Show Yourself strong, O God, who have acted on our behalf.
29 B ecause of thy temple at Jerusalem shall kings bring presents unto thee.
Because of Your temple at Jerusalem Kings will bring gifts to You.
30 R ebuke the beast of the reeds, the assembly of the strong, with the calves of the peoples: submitteth himself with pieces of silver. Scatter the peoples that delight in war.
Rebuke the beasts in the reeds, The herd of bulls with the calves of the peoples, Trampling under foot the pieces of silver; He has scattered the peoples who delight in war.
31 G reat ones shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall quickly stretch out her hands unto God.
Envoys will come out of Egypt; Ethiopia will quickly stretch out her hands to God.
32 Y e kingdoms of the earth, sing unto God; sing psalms of the Lord, (Selah,)

33 O f him that rideth upon the heavens, the heavens which are of old: lo, he uttereth his voice, a mighty voice.
To Him who rides upon the highest heavens, which are from ancient times; Behold, He speaks forth with His voice, a mighty voice.
34 A scribe ye strength unto God: his excellency is over Israel, and his strength is in the clouds.
Ascribe strength to God; His majesty is over Israel And His strength is in the skies.
35 T errible art thou, O God, out of thy sanctuaries,—the God of Israel! He it is that giveth strength and might unto the people. Blessed be God!
O God, You are awesome from Your sanctuary. The God of Israel Himself gives strength and power to the people. Blessed be God!
