5 I called upon Jah in distress; Jah answered me in a large place.

From my distress I called upon the Lord; The Lord answered me and set me in a large place.

6 J ehovah is for me, I will not fear; what can man do unto me?

The Lord is for me; I will not fear; What can man do to me?

7 J ehovah is for me among them that help me; and I shall see upon them that hate me.

The Lord is for me among those who help me; Therefore I will look with satisfaction on those who hate me.

8 I t is better to trust in Jehovah than to put confidence in man;

It is better to take refuge in the Lord Than to trust in man.

9 I t is better to trust in Jehovah than to put confidence in nobles.

It is better to take refuge in the Lord Than to trust in princes.

10 A ll nations encompassed me; but in the name of Jehovah have I destroyed them.

All nations surrounded me; In the name of the Lord I will surely cut them off.

13 T hou hast thrust hard at me that I might fall; but Jehovah helped me.

15 T he voice of triumph and salvation is in the tents of the righteous: the right hand of Jehovah doeth valiantly;

The sound of joyful shouting and salvation is in the tents of the righteous; The right hand of the Lord does valiantly.

16 T he right hand of Jehovah is exalted, the right hand of Jehovah doeth valiantly.

The right hand of the Lord is exalted; The right hand of the Lord does valiantly.

17 I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of Jah.

18 J ah hath chastened me sore; but he hath not given me over unto death.

The Lord has disciplined me severely, But He has not given me over to death.

19 O pen to me the gates of righteousness: I will enter into them; Jah will I praise.

Open to me the gates of righteousness; I shall enter through them, I shall give thanks to the Lord.

20 T his is the gate of Jehovah: the righteous shall enter therein.

This is the gate of the Lord; The righteous will enter through it.

21 I will give thee thanks, for thou hast answered me, and art become my salvation.

22 s tone which the builders rejected hath become the head of the corner:

The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief corner stone.

23 T his is of Jehovah; it is wonderful in our eyes.

This is the Lord’s doing; It is marvelous in our eyes.

24 T his is the day that Jehovah hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

This is the day which the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it.

25 O h save, Jehovah, I beseech thee; Jehovah, I beseech thee, oh send prosperity!

O Lord, do save, we beseech You; O Lord, we beseech You, do send prosperity!

26 B lessed be he that cometh in the name of Jehovah. We have blessed you out of the house of Jehovah.

Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord; We have blessed you from the house of the Lord.

27 J ehovah is God, and he hath given us light: bind the sacrifice with cords,—up to the horns of the altar.

The Lord is God, and He has given us light; Bind the festival sacrifice with cords to the horns of the altar.

28 T hou art my God, and I will give thee thanks; my God, I will exalt thee.

You are my God, and I give thanks to You; You are my God, I extol You.
