1 H ear, O Lord, and answer me. For I am suffering and in need.
Bow down thine ear, O Lord, hear me: for I am poor and needy.
2 K eep my life, for I am faithful to You. You are my God. Save Your servant who trusts in You.
Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee.
3 S how me loving-kindness, O Lord. For I cry to You all day long.
Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily.
4 B ring joy to Your servant. For I lift up my soul to You, O Lord.
Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.
5 F or You are good and ready to forgive, O Lord. You are rich in loving-kindness to all who call to You.
For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.
6 H ear my prayer, O Lord. Listen to my cry for help.
Give ear, O Lord, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications.
7 I will call to You in the day of my trouble. For You will answer me.
In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.
8 T here is no one like You among the gods, O Lord. And there are no works like Yours.
Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works.
9 A ll the nations You have made will come and worship before You, O Lord. And they will bring honor to Your name.
All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name.
10 F or You are great and do great things. You alone are God.
For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone.
11 T each me Your way, O Lord. I will walk in Your truth. May my heart fear Your name.
Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.
12 O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You with all my heart. I will bring honor to Your name forever.
I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore.
13 F or Your loving-kindness toward me is great. And You have saved my soul from the bottom of the grave.
For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell.
14 O God, proud men have come up against me. A group of fighting men want to take my life. And they do not think of You.
O God, the proud are risen against me, and the assemblies of violent men have sought after my soul; and have not set thee before them.
15 B ut You, O Lord, are a God full of love and pity. You are slow to anger and rich in loving-kindness and truth.
But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, long suffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.
16 T urn to me, and show me loving-kindness. Give Your strength to Your servant. And save the son of your woman servant.
O turn unto me, and have mercy upon me; give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thine handmaid.
17 G ive me something special to see of Your favor. Then those who hate me may see it and be ashamed. Because You, O Lord, have helped me and comforted me.
Shew me a token for good; that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed: because thou, Lord, hast holpen me, and comforted me.
