1 ع ِندَما يَرُدُّ اللهُ الشَّعبَ المَنفِيَّ إلَى صِهْيَوْنَ، سَيَكُونُ ذَلِكَ أشبَهَ بِحُلمٍ!

When the Lord brought back the captivity of Zion, We were like those who dream.

2 س َنَمتَلِئُ فَرَحاً وَنُرَنِّمُ تَرانِيمَ بَهِيجَةً. عِندَما يُذاعُ الخَبَرُ بَينَ الشُّعُوبِ الأُخرَى، سَيَقُولُونَ: « اللهُ صَنَعَ عَجائِبَ لِهَؤُلاءِ!»

Then our mouth was filled with laughter, And our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.”

3 ن َعَمْ، صَنَعَ اللهُ أشياءَ عَظِيمَةً مِنْ أجلِنا، وَفَرَّحَنا بِها!

The Lord has done great things for us, And we are glad.

4 أ عِدْ، يا اللهُ ، المَنفِيِّينَ مِنّا. كَجَداوِلِ الصَّحارَى المُتَدَفِّقَةِ بِالماءِ.

Bring back our captivity, O Lord, As the streams in the South.

5 ا لَّذِينَ زَرَعُوا بِالدُّمُوعِ، يَحصُدُونَ بِالفَرَحِ.

Those who sow in tears Shall reap in joy.

6 ا لَّذِينَ حَمَلُوا البِذارَ إلَى الحُقُولِ ذارِفِينَ دُمُوعاً، يَبتَهِجُونَ وَهُمْ يَحمِلُونَ حُزَماً مِنَ الحُبُوبِ!

He who continually goes forth weeping, Bearing seed for sowing, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, Bringing his sheaves with him.
