1 ` And thou, son of man, take to thee a brick, and thou hast put it before thee, and hast graven on it a city -- Jerusalem,

2 a nd hast placed against it a siege, and builded against it a fortification, and poured out against it a mount, and placed against it camps, yea, set thou against it battering-rams round about.

Ngươi khá vây hãm nó; dựng đồn, đắp lũy nghịch cùng nó; đóng quân vây bọc lấy, và đặt máy phá thành xung quanh nghịch cùng nó.

3 A nd thou, take to thee an iron pan, and thou hast made it a wall of iron between thee and the city; and thou hast prepared thy face against it, and it hath been in a siege, yea, thou hast laid siege against it. A sign it to the house of Israel.

Lại hãy lấy một chảo sắt, đặt nó làm cái tường sắt giữa ngươi và thành; rồi ngươi xây mặt lại cùng nó; nó sẽ bị vây, và ngươi sẽ vây nó. Đó sẽ là một điềm cho nhà Y-sơ-ra-ên.

4 ` And thou, lie on thy left side, and thou hast placed the iniquity of the house of Israel on it; the number of the days that thou liest on it, thou bearest their iniquity.

Kế đó, ngươi khá nằm nghiêng mình bên tả, và để tội lỗi nhà Y-sơ-ra-ên tại đó. Ngươi nằm như vậy bao nhiêu ngày, thì mang lấy tội lỗi chúng nó cũng bấy nhiêu.

5 A nd I -- I have laid on thee the years of their iniquity, the number of days, three hundred and ninety days; and thou hast borne the iniquity of the house of Israel.

Vì ta đã định cho ngươi một số ngày bằng với số năm của tội lỗi chúng nó, là ba trăm chín mươi ngày, ngươi sẽ mang lấy tội lỗi nhà Y-sơ-ra-ên như vậy.

6 A nd thou hast completed these, and hast lain on thy right side, a second time, and hast borne the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days -- a day for a year -- a day for a year I have appointed to thee.

Vả lại, khi những ngày ấy đã mãn, ngươi khá nằm nghiêng mình bên hữu, và mang lấy tội lỗi của nhà Giu-đa, trải bốn mươi ngày, ta định cho ngươi mỗi một ngày thay vì một năm.

7 ` And unto the siege of Jerusalem thou dost prepare thy face, and thine arm uncovered, and thou hast prophesied concerning it.

Ngươi khá xây mặt và quay cánh tay trần về sự vây hãm thành Giê-ru-sa-lem; ngươi khá nói tiên tri nghịch cùng nó.

8 A nd lo, I have put on thee thick bands, and thou dost not turn from side to side till thy completing the days of thy siege.

Nầy, ta dùng dây trói ngươi, và ngươi sẽ chẳng quay bên nầy bên kia, cho đến những ngày ngươi vây thành đã trọn.

9 ` And thou, take to thee wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentiles, and millet, and spelt, and thou hast put them in one vessel, and made them to thee for bread; the number of the days that thou art lying on thy side -- three hundred and ninety days -- thou dost eat it.

Cũng hãy lấy lúa mì, mạch nha, đậu, biển đậu, kê và đại mạch, để vào một bình, dùng làm bánh cho mình; ngươi nằm nghiêng bao nhiêu ngày, thì ngươi sẽ ăn bánh ấy trong bấy nhiêu ngày, tức là ba trăm chín mươi ngày.

10 A nd thy food that thou dost eat by weight, twenty shekels daily; from time to time thou dost eat it.

Đồ ăn ngươi sẽ ăn, cứ mỗi ngày nặng hai mươi siếc-lơ; ngươi sẽ ăn theo thì giờ.

11 ` And water by measure thou dost drink, a sixth part of the hin; from time to time thou dost drink.

Nước ngươi uống cũng sẽ lường, là một phần sáu hin; theo thì giờ mà uống.

12 A barley-cake thou dost eat it, and it with dung -- the filth of man -- thou dost bake before their eyes.

Ngươi sẽ ăn bánh ấy như bánh mạch nha, mà phải dùng phân ngươi nấu chín trước mắt chúng nó.

13 A nd Jehovah saith, `Thus do the sons of Israel eat their defiled bread among the nations whither I drive them.'

Đức Giê-hô-va lại phán: Aáy con cái Y-sơ-ra-ên sẽ ăn bánh dơ bẩn của chúng nó như vậy, trong các nước mà ta sẽ đuổi chúng nó đến.

14 A nd I say, `Ah, Lord Jehovah, lo, my soul is not defiled, and carcase, and torn thing, I have not eaten from my youth, even till now; nor come into my mouth hath abominable flesh.'

Ta bèn nói: O

15 A nd He saith unto me, `See, I have given to thee bullock's dung instead of man's dung, and thou hast made thy bread by it.'

Ngài đáp rằng: Ta cho phép ngươi lấy phân bò thay phân người; ngươi khá dùng nó mà hấp bánh.

16 A nd He saith unto me, `Son of man, lo, I am breaking the staff of bread in Jerusalem, and they have eaten bread by weight and with fear; and water by measure and with astonishment, they do drink;

Đoạn, Ngài lại phán: Hỡi con người, nầy, ta sẽ bẻ gậy bánh trong Giê-ru-sa-lem đi; chúng nó sẽ cân bánh mà ăn, và sợ hãi, lường nước mà uống, và sững sờ.

17 s o that they lack bread and water, and have been astonished one with another, and been consumed in their iniquity.

Thế thì chúng nó thiếu bánh và nước, cùng nhau thất kinh, và hao mòn trong tội lỗi mình.
