1 I n the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
Now after the Sabbath, near dawn of the first day of the week, Mary of Magdala and the other Mary went to take a look at the tomb.
2 A nd, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.

3 H is countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:

4 A nd for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.
And those keeping guard were so frightened at the sight of him that they were agitated and they trembled and became like dead men.
5 A nd the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
But the angel said to the women, Do not be alarmed and frightened, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, Who was crucified.
6 H e is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

7 A nd go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.
Then go quickly and tell His disciples, He has risen from the dead, and behold, He is going before you to Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you.
8 A nd they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.
So they left the tomb hastily with fear and great joy and ran to tell the disciples.
9 A nd as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.
And as they went, behold, Jesus met them and said, Hail (greetings)! And they went up to Him and clasped His feet and worshiped Him.
10 T hen said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.
Then Jesus said to them, Do not be alarmed and afraid; go and tell My brethren to go into Galilee, and there they will see Me.
11 N ow when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done.
While they were on their way, behold, some of the guards went into the city and reported to the chief priests everything that had occurred.
12 A nd when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers,
And when they had gathered with the elders and had consulted together, they gave a sufficient sum of money to the soldiers,
13 S aying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.
And said, Tell people, His disciples came at night and stole Him away while we were sleeping.
14 A nd if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you.
And if the governor hears of it, we will appease him and make you safe and free from trouble and care.
15 S o they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.
So they took the money and did as they were instructed; and this story has been current among the Jews to the present day.
16 T hen the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.
Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed and made appointment with them.
17 A nd when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.
And when they saw Him, they fell down and worshiped Him; but some doubted.
18 A nd Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Jesus approached and, breaking the silence, said to them, All authority (all power of rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.
19 G o ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Go then and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20 T eaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you, and behold, I am with you all the days ( perpetually, uniformly, and on every occasion), to the close and consummation of the age. Amen (so let it be).
