1 T he wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.

Se alegrarán el desierto y el sequedal; el yermo se gozará y florecerá como la rosa.

2 I t shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the Lord, and the excellency of our God.

Florecerá profusamente, y se alegrará hasta lanzar gritos de júbilo; la gloria del Líbano le será dada, la hermosura del Carmel y de Sarón. Ellos verán la gloria de Jehová, la majestad de nuestro Dios.

3 S trengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.

Fortaleced las manos débiles, afianzad las rodillas vacilantes.

4 S ay to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.

Decid a los de corazón apocado: Esforzaos, no temáis; he aquí que vuestro Dios viene con venganza; con recompensa de Dios vendrá, y os salvará él mismo.

5 T hen the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.

Entonces los ojos de los ciegos serán abiertos, y los oídos de los sordos se destaparán.

6 T hen shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.

Entonces el cojo saltará como un ciervo, y cantará la lengua del mudo; porque serán alumbradas aguas en el desierto, y torrentes en la soledad.

7 A nd the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.

El lugar seco se convertirá en estanque, y el sequedal en manantiales de agua; en la morada de los chacales se guarecerán los rebaños; será un vallado de cañas y juncos.

8 A nd an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.

Y habrá allí calzada y camino, y será llamado Camino de Santidad; no pasará el inmundo por él, sino que él mismo andará con ellos; el que anduviere en este camino, por torpe que sea, no se extraviará.

9 N o lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there:

No habrá allí león, ni subirá ninguna fiera por él; no se hallarán allí, para que lo recorran los rescatados.

10 a nd the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

Y los redimidos de Jehová volverán, y vendrán a Sión con alegría; habrá gozo perpetuo sobre sus cabezas; tendrán gozo y alegría, y huirán la tristeza y el gemido.
