1 M oreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

Vino a mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

2 N ow, thou son of man, wilt thou judge, wilt thou judge the bloody city? yea, thou shalt shew her all her abominations.

Tú, hijo de hombre, ¿quieres juzgar tú, quieres juzgar tú a la ciudad derramadora de sangre? Entonces hazles saber todas sus abominaciones.

3 T hen say thou, Thus saith the Lord God, The city sheddeth blood in the midst of it, that her time may come, and maketh idols against herself to defile herself.

Dirás, pues: Así dice el Señor Jehová: ¡Ciudad derramadora de sangre en medio de ti, para que venga tu hora, y que te haces ídolos para contaminarte!

4 T hou art become guilty in thy blood that thou hast shed; and hast defiled thyself in thine idols which thou hast made; and thou hast caused thy days to draw near, and art come even unto thy years: therefore have I made thee a reproach unto the heathen, and a mocking to all countries.

En tu sangre que derramaste has pecado, y te has contaminado en tus ídolos que hiciste; y has hecho acercarse tu día, y has llegado al término de tus años; por tanto, he hecho de ti un oprobio para las naciones, y un escarnio para todas las tierras.

5 T hose that be near, and those that be far from thee, shall mock thee, which art infamous and much vexed.

Las que están cerca de ti y las que están lejos se reirán de ti, amancillada de nombre, y llena de desórdenes.

6 B ehold, the princes of Israel, every one were in thee to their power to shed blood.

He aquí que los príncipes de Israel, cada uno según su poder, han estado en ti para derramar sangre.

7 I n thee have they set light by father and mother: in the midst of thee have they dealt by oppression with the stranger: in thee have they vexed the fatherless and the widow.

En ti se ha tenido en poco al padre y a la madre; en medio de ti se ha oprimido al extranjero; en ti se ha maltratado al huérfano y a la viuda.

8 T hou hast despised mine holy things, and hast profaned my sabbaths.

Has menospreciado mis santuarios, y has profanado mis sábados.

9 I n thee are men that carry tales to shed blood: and in thee they eat upon the mountains: in the midst of thee they commit lewdness.

Hubo en ti calumniadores para derramar sangre; y sobre los montes comieron en ti; en medio de ti cometieron infamias.

10 I n thee have they discovered their fathers’ nakedness: in thee have they humbled her that was set apart for pollution.

Descubrieron en ti la desnudez del padre, y en ti hicieron violencia a la que estaba inmunda por su menstruo.

11 A nd one hath committed abomination with his neighbour’s wife; and another hath lewdly defiled his daughter in law; and another in thee hath humbled his sister, his father’s daughter.

Cada uno hizo abominación con la mujer de su prójimo, cada uno contaminó pervertidamente a su nuera, y cada uno violó en ti a su hermana, hija de su padre.

12 I n thee have they taken gifts to shed blood; thou hast taken usury and increase, and thou hast greedily gained of thy neighbours by extortion, and hast forgotten me, saith the Lord God.

En ti recibieron regalos para derramar sangre; interés y usura tomaste, y a tus prójimos explotaste con violencia; te olvidaste de mí, dice el Señor Jehová.

13 B ehold, therefore I have smitten mine hand at thy dishonest gain which thou hast made, and at thy blood which hath been in the midst of thee.

Y he aquí que batí mis manos a causa de las ganancias deshonestas que has hecho, y a causa de la sangre que derramaste en medio de ti.

14 C an thine heart endure, or can thine hands be strong, in the days that I shall deal with thee? I the Lord have spoken it, and will do it.

¿Aguantará tu corazón? ¿Serán fuertes tus manos en los días en que yo proceda contra ti? Yo Jehová he hablado, y lo haré.

15 A nd I will scatter thee among the heathen, and disperse thee in the countries, and will consume thy filthiness out of thee.

Te dispersaré por las naciones, y te esparciré por las tierras; y haré fenecer de ti tu inmundicia.

16 A nd thou shalt take thine inheritance in thyself in the sight of the heathen, and thou shalt know that I am the Lord.

Y por ti misma serás degradada a la vista de las naciones; y sabrás que yo soy Jehová.

17 A nd the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

Vino a mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

18 S on of man, the house of Israel is to me become dross: all they are brass, and tin, and iron, and lead, in the midst of the furnace; they are even the dross of silver.

Hijo de hombre, la casa de Israel se me ha convertido en escoria; todos ellos son bronce y estaño y hierro y plomo en medio del horno; y en escorias de plata se convirtieron.

19 T herefore thus saith the Lord God; Because ye are all become dross, behold, therefore I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem.

Por tanto, así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Por cuanto todos vosotros os habéis convertido en escorias, por tanto, he aquí que yo os reuniré en medio de Jerusalén.

20 A s they gather silver, and brass, and iron, and lead, and tin, into the midst of the furnace, to blow the fire upon it, to melt it; so will I gather you in mine anger and in my fury, and I will leave you there, and melt you.

Como quien junta plata y bronce y hierro y plomo y estaño en medio del horno, para encender fuego en él para fundirlos, así os juntaré en mi furor y en mi ira, y os pondré allí, y os fundiré.

21 Y ea, I will gather you, and blow upon you in the fire of my wrath, and ye shall be melted in the midst thereof.

Sí, yo os juntaré y soplaré sobre vosotros con el fuego de mi furor, y en medio de él os pondré y os fundiré.

22 A s silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so shall ye be melted in the midst thereof; and ye shall know that I the Lord have poured out my fury upon you.

Como se funde la plata en el crisol, así seréis fundidos en medio de él; y sabréis que yo Jehová habré derramado mi enojo sobre vosotros.

23 A nd the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

Vino a mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

24 S on of man, say unto her, Thou art the land that is not cleansed, nor rained upon in the day of indignation.

Hijo de hombre, di a ella: Tú eres una tierra que no ha sido limpiada, ni rociada con lluvia en el día del furor.

25 T here is a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst thereof, like a roaring lion ravening the prey; they have devoured souls; they have taken the treasure and precious things; they have made her many widows in the midst thereof.

Hay conjuración de sus profetas en medio de ella, como león rugiente que arrebata la presa; devoraron almas, tomaron haciendas y objetos preciosos, multiplicaron sus viudas en medio de ella.

26 H er priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.

Sus sacerdotes violaron mi ley, y contaminaron mis santuarios; entre lo santo y lo profano no hicieron diferencia, ni enseñaron a distinguir entre inmundo y limpio; y de mis sábados apartaron sus ojos, y yo he sido profanado en medio de ellos.

27 H er princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain.

Sus príncipes en medio de ella son como lobos que arrebatan la presa, para derramar sangre, para destruir las almas, para obtener ganancias injustas.

28 A nd her prophets have daubed them with untempered morter, seeing vanity, and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus saith the Lord God, when the Lord hath not spoken.

Y sus profetas revocaban con lodo suelto, profetizándoles vanidad y adivinándoles mentiras, diciendo: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová, cuando Jehová no había hablado.

29 T he people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery, and have vexed the poor and needy: yea, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully.

El pueblo de la tierra usaba de opresión y cometía robo, hacía violencia al afligido y menesteroso, y oprimía sin derecho al extranjero.

30 A nd I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.

Y busqué entre ellos algún hombre que reconstruyera el muro y que se pusiese en la brecha delante de mí, a favor de la tierra, para que yo no la destruyese; y no lo hallé.

31 T herefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord God.

Por tanto, derramé sobre ellos mi ira; con el ardor de mi ira los consumí; hice recaer el camino de ellos sobre su propia cabeza, dice el Señor Jehová.
