1 T he Lord reigneth; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad thereof.

Царює Господь: хай радіє земля, нехай веселяться численні острови!

2 C louds and darkness are round about him: righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his throne.

Хмара та морок круг Нього, справедливість та право підстава престолу Його.

3 A fire goeth before him, and burneth up his enemies round about.

Огонь іде перед лицем Його, і ворогів Його палить навколо.

4 H is lightnings enlightened the world: the earth saw, and trembled.

Освітили вселенну Його блискавиці, те бачить земля та тремтить!

5 T he hills melted like wax at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.

Гори, як віск, розтопилися перед обличчям Господнім, перед обличчям Господа всієї землі.

6 T he heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory.

Небо розповідає про правду Його, й бачать славу Його всі народи.

7 C onfounded be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols: worship him, all ye gods.

Нехай посоромлені будуть усі, хто ідолам служить, хто божками вихвалюється! Додолу впадіть перед Ним, усі боги!

8 Z ion heard, and was glad; and the daughters of Judah rejoiced because of thy judgments, O Lord.

Почув і звеселився Сіон, і потішились Юдині дочки через Твої присуди, Господи,

9 F or thou, Lord, art high above all the earth: thou art exalted far above all gods.

бо над усією землею Найвищий Ти, Господи, над богами всіма Ти піднесений сильно!

10 Y e that love the Lord, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.

Хто Господа любить, ненавидьте зло! Хто рятує душі святих Своїх, Той визволить їх із руки несправедливих.

11 L ight is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.

Світло сіється для справедливого, а для простосердих розрада.

12 R ejoice in the Lord, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.

Радійте, праведні, Господом, і славте Його святу пам'ять!
