1 O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever.

2 L et Israel now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.

3 L et the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.

4 L et them now that fear the Lord say, that his mercy endureth for ever.

Let those that fear the LORD say now, that his mercy is eternal.

5 I called upon the Lord in distress: the Lord answered me, and set me in a large place.

From a tight place I called upon JAH; and JAH answered me and set me in a wide place.

6 T he Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?

The LORD is for me; I will not fear what man can do unto me.

7 T he Lord taketh my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me.

The LORD takes my part with those that help me; therefore I shall see my desire upon those that hate me.

8 I t is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.

It is better to wait upon the LORD than to wait upon man.

9 I t is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes.

10 A ll nations compassed me about: but in the name of the Lord will I destroy them.

All the nations compassed me about; but in the name of the LORD I will cut them off.

11 T hey compassed me about; yea, they compassed me about: but in the name of the Lord I will destroy them.

12 T hey compassed me about like bees: they are quenched as the fire of thorns: for in the name of the Lord I will destroy them.

13 T hou hast thrust sore at me that I might fall: but the Lord helped me.

14 T he Lord is my strength and song, and is become my salvation.

JAH is my strength and song and is become my saving health.

15 T he voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the Lord doeth valiantly.

The voice of singing and saving health is in the tents of the righteous; the right hand of the LORD does valiantly.

16 T he right hand of the Lord is exalted: the right hand of the Lord doeth valiantly.

The right hand of the LORD is exalted; the right hand of the LORD does valiantly.

17 I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.

I shall not die, but live and declare the works of JAH.

18 T he Lord hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death.

JAH has chastened me sore, but he has not given me over unto death.

19 O pen to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the Lord:

¶ Open unto me the gates of righteousness; I will go in through them; I will praise JAH.

20 T his gate of the Lord, into which the righteous shall enter.

This gate is of the LORD; the righteous shall enter in.

21 I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.

I will praise thee; for thou hast heard me and art become my saving health.

22 T he stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.

The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner.

23 T his is the Lord 's doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.

This is the LORD’s doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.

24 T his is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

This is the day which the LORD has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

25 S ave now, I beseech thee, O Lord: O Lord, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.

Save now, I beseech thee, O LORD; O LORD, I beseech thee, cause us now to prosper.

26 B lessed be he that cometh in the name of the Lord: we have blessed you out of the house of the Lord.

Blessed be he that comes in the name of the LORD; from the house of the LORD we bless you.

27 G od is the Lord, which hath shewed us light: bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar.

God is the LORD, who has shined on us; bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar.

28 T hou art my God, and I will praise thee: thou art my God, I will exalt thee.
