1 ق َدْ أطلَقَنا المَسِيحُ إلَى حَياةِ الحُرِّيَّةِ، فَحافِظُوا عَلَى ثَباتِكُمْ، وَلا تَعُودُوا ثانِيَةً إلَى قُيُودِ العُبُودِيَّةِ.

Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

2 ه ا أنا بُولُسُ أقُولُ لَكُمْ إنِ اختَتَنْتُمْ مُتَّكِلِينَ عَلَى الشَّرِيعَةِ، فَلَنْ يَنْفَعْكُمِ المَسِيحُ.

Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.

3 و َمَرَّةً أُخْرَى أُعلِنُ لِكُلِّ شَخْصٍ سَمَحَ لِنَفْسِهِ بِأنْ يُختَنَ، بِأنَّهُ مُجبَرٌ عَلَى الِالْتِزامِ بِالشَّرِيعَةِ كُلِّها.

For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.

4 و َإنْ كُنْتُمْ تُحاوِلُونَ أنْ تَكُونُوا أبْراراً بِالشَّرِيعَةِ، فَقَدْ قَطَعْتُمْ أنفُسَكُمْ عَنِ المَسِيحِ، وَأنتُمُ الآنَ خارِجَ النِّعمَةِ.

Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

5 أ مّا نَحنُ فَلَنا رَجاءٌ نابِعٌ مِنَ البِرِّ الَّذي بِالإيمانِ، وَنَحنُ نَنتَظِرُ ذَلِكَ الرَّجاءَ بِالرُّوحِ.

For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

6 ف َفَي المَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ، لا فائِدَةَ لِلخِتانِ أوْ لِعَدَمِ الخِتانِ، وَلَكِنْ لِلإيمانِ الَّذِي يَعمَلُ بِالمَحَبَّةِ.

For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

7 ق َدْ كُنْتُمْ تَركُضُونَ بِشَكلٍ جَيِّدٍ فِي سِباقِ الإيمانِ، فَمَنْ ذا الَّذِي أعاقَكُمْ عَنِ الخُضُوعِ لِلحَقِّ؟

Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?

8 أ يّاً كانَ ذَلِكَ الشَّيءُ، فَهُوَ لَيسَ مِنَ اللهِ الَّذِي دَعاكُمْ.

This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you.

9 إ نَّ «خَمِيرَةً صَغِيرَةً تُخَمِّرُ العَجِينَ كُلَّهُ.»

A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.

10 و َلِي ثِقَةٌ بِالرَّبِّ أنَّكُمْ سَتَقْتَنِعُونَ بِما قُلْتُهُ لَكُمْ، لا بِأيِّ شَيءٍ آخَرَ. وَلَكِنَّ الَّذِي يُربِكُكُمْ سَيَدفَعُ الثَّمَنَ كائِناً مَنْ كانَ.

I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.

11 أ يُّها الإخوَةُ، لَو كُنْتُ لا أزالُ أُعَلِّمُ بِضَرورَةِ الخِتانِ، لَما كُنْتُ مُضْطَّهَداً، ولَما عادَ الصَّلِيبُ يُعْتَبَرُ عائِقاً أمامَ أحَدٍ.

And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased.

12 ف َلَيتَ الَّذِينَ يُزعِجُونَكُمْ بِهَذِهِ المَسْألَةِ يَقْطَعُونَ إلَى التَّمامِ!

I would they were even cut off which trouble you.

13 أ مّا أنتُمْ أيُّها الإخوَةُ، فَقَدْ دُعِيتُمْ إلَى حَياةِ الحُرِّيَّةِ. وَلَكِنْ لا تَجعَلُوا حُرِّيَتَكُمْ حُجَّةً لإرضاءِ رَغَباتِكُمُ الأنانِيَّةِ، بَلِ اخدِمُوا بَعْضُكُمْ بَعْضاً بِالمَحَبَّةِ.

For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

14 ل ِأنَّ كُلَّ الشَّرِيعَةِ جُمِعَتْ فِي وَصِيَّةٍ واحِدَةٍ: «تُحِبُّ صاحِبَكَ كَما تُحِبُّ نَفسَكَ.»

For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

15 و َلَكِنْ إنْ كُنْتُمْ تَنهَشُونَ وَتَفتَرِسُونَ بَعضُكُمْ بَعضاً، فَمِنَ الأفضَلِ أنْ تَحذَرُوا مِنْ أنْ تُفنُوا بَعْضُكُمْ بَعضاً. الرُّوحُ وَالطَّبِيعَةُ البَشَرِيَّة

But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.

16 و َلَكِنِّي أقُولُ اسلُكُوا تَحْتَ قِيادَةِ الرُّوحِ، وَهَكَذا لَنْ تُشبِعُوا شَهَواتِ الطَّبِيعَةِ الجَسَديَّةِ.

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

17 ف َالطَّبِيعَةُ الجَسَدِيَّةُ تَشْتَهي ضِدَّ رَغَباتِ الرُّوحِ، وَالرُّوحُ تَشْتَهي ضِدَّ رَغَباتِ الطَّبِيعَةِ الجَسَدِيِّةِ. فَكُلٌّ مِنْها يَشْتَهي بِعَكْسِ الآخَرِ. وَهَكَذا لا تَستَطِيعُونَ أنْ تَفعَلُوا ما تُرِيدُونَ.

For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

18 و َلَكِنْ، إنْ كُنْتُمْ تَنقادُونَ بِالرُّوحِ، فَلَسْتُمْ تَحتَ الشَّرِيعَةِ.

But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

19 إ نَّ أعمالَ الطَّبِيعَةِ البَشَرِيَّةِ وَاضِحَةٌ: وَهِيَ الزِّنَى، النَّجاسَةُ، الدَّعارَةُ،

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20 ع ِبادَةُ الأصنامِ، السِّحْرُ، مَشاعِرُ العَداءِ، المُنازَعاتُ، الغَيرَةُ، الغَضَبُ، التَّحَزُّبُ، الِانقِسامُ،

Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21 ا لحَسَدُ، السُّكْرُ، اللَّهوُ المُنحَرِفُ، وَكُلُّ الأُمُورِ الَّتِي تُشبِهُ هَذِهِ. هَذِهِ هِيَ الأُمُورُ الَّتِي حَذَّرْتُكُمْ مِنْها، وَكُنْتُ قَدْ حَذَّرْتُكُمْ سابِقاً مِنْ أنَّ الَّذِينَ يُمارِسُونَها لَنْ يَرِثُوا مَلَكُوتَ اللهِ.

Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

22 أ مّا ثَمَرُ الرُّوحِ فَهُوَ: المَحَبَّةُ، الفَرَحُ، السَّلامُ، الصَّبْرُ، اللُّطْفُ، الصَّلاحُ، الأمانَةُ،

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 ا لوَداعَةُ، ضَبْطُ النَّفْسِ. وَلا تُوجَدُ شَرِيعَةٌ تَمْنَعُ هَذِهِ الأُمُورِ.

Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

24 ف َالَّذِينَ يَنتَمُونَ إلَى المَسِيحِ يَسُوعَ، قَدْ صَلَبُوا الجَسَدَ مَعَ الأهواءِ وَالرَّغَباتِ الشِّرِّيرَةِ.

And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

25 ف َإنْ كُنّا نَحيا بِالرُّوحِ، فَلْنَسلُكْ أيضاً كَما يَقُودُنا الرُّوحُ.

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

26 ل ا تَكُونُوا مَغرُورِينَ، يَحْسِدُ بَعْضُكُمْ بَعضاً، وَيَغْضَبُ بَعْضُكُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ.

Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
