Galatians 6 ~ Galatians 6

picture

1 B rethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

Brothers, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to yourself so that you also aren’t tempted.

2 B ear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

3 F or if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.

For if a man thinks himself to be something when he is nothing, he deceives himself.

4 B ut let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.

But let each man test his own work, and then he will take pride in himself and not in his neighbor.

5 F or every man shall bear his own burden.

For each man will bear his own burden.

6 L et him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.

But let him who is taught in the word share all good things with him who teaches.

7 B e not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Don’t be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.

8 F or he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption. But he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

9 A nd let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up.

10 A s we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

So then, as we have opportunity, let’s do what is good toward all men, and especially toward those who are of the household of the faith.

11 Y e see how large a letter I have written unto you with mine own hand.

See with what large letters I write to you with my own hand.

12 A s many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ.

As many as desire to look good in the flesh, they compel you to be circumcised; only that they may not be persecuted for the cross of Christ.

13 F or neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh.

For even they who receive circumcision don’t keep the law themselves, but they desire to have you circumcised, that they may boast in your flesh.

14 B ut God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

But far be it from me to boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

15 F or in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.

For in Christ Jesus neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation.

16 A nd as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.

As many as walk by this rule, peace and mercy be on them, and on God’s Israel.

17 F rom henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.

From now on, let no one cause me any trouble, for I bear the marks of the Lord Jesus branded on my body.

18 B rethren, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brothers. Amen.
