1 A nd I saw, and behold, the Lamb standing upon mount Zion, and with him a hundred forty-four thousand, having his name and the name of his Father written upon their foreheads.
Then I looked, and behold, a Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His Father’s name written on their foreheads.
2 A nd I heard a voice out of the heaven as a voice of many waters, and as a voice of great thunder. And the voice which I heard as of harp-singers harping with their harps;
And I heard a voice from heaven, like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of loud thunder. And I heard the sound of harpists playing their harps.
3 a nd they sing a new song before the throne, and before the four living creatures and the elders. And no one could learn that song save the hundred forty-four thousand who were bought from the earth.
They sang as it were a new song before the throne, before the four living creatures, and the elders; and no one could learn that song except the hundred and forty-four thousand who were redeemed from the earth.
4 T hese are they who have not been defiled with women, for they are virgins: these are they who follow the Lamb wheresoever it goes. These have been bought from men first-fruits to God and to the Lamb:
These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed from among men, being firstfruits to God and to the Lamb.
5 a nd in their mouths was no lie found; they are blameless.
And in their mouth was found no deceit, for they are without fault before the throne of God. The Proclamations of Three Angels
6 A nd I saw another angel flying in mid-heaven, having everlasting glad tidings to announce to those settled on the earth, and to every nation and tribe and tongue and people,
Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth—to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people—
7 s aying with a loud voice, Fear God and give him glory, for the hour of his judgment has come; and do homage to him who has made the heaven and the earth and the sea and fountains of waters.
saying with a loud voice, “Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.”
8 A nd another, a second, angel followed, saying, Great Babylon has fallen, has fallen, which of the wine of the fury of her fornication has made all nations drink.
And another angel followed, saying, “Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.”
9 A nd another, a third, angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any one do homage to the beast and its image, and receive a mark upon his forehead or upon his hand,
Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand,
10 h e also shall drink of the wine of the fury of God prepared unmixed in the cup of his wrath, and he shall be tormented in fire and brimstone before the holy angels and before the Lamb.
he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.
11 A nd the smoke of their torment goes up to ages of ages, and they have no respite day and night who do homage to the beast and to its image, and if any one receive the mark of its name.
And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.”
12 H ere is the endurance of the saints, who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.
Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.
13 A nd I heard a voice out of the heaven saying, Write, Blessed the dead who die in Lord from henceforth. Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; for their works follow with them.
Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them.” Reaping the Earth’s Harvest
14 A nd I saw, and behold, a white cloud, and on the cloud one sitting like Son of man, having upon his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.
Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and on the cloud sat One like the Son of Man, having on His head a golden crown, and in His hand a sharp sickle.
15 A nd another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Send thy sickle and reap; for the hour of reaping is come, for the harvest of the earth is dried.
And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, “Thrust in Your sickle and reap, for the time has come for You to reap, for the harvest of the earth is ripe.”
16 A nd he that sat on the cloud put his sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped.
So He who sat on the cloud thrust in His sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped. Reaping the Grapes of Wrath
17 A nd another angel came out of the temple which in the heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.
Then another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.
18 A nd another angel came out of the altar, having power over fire, and called with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Send thy sharp sickle, and gather the bunches of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripened.
And another angel came out from the altar, who had power over fire, and he cried with a loud cry to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, “Thrust in your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, for her grapes are fully ripe.”
19 A nd the angel put his sickle to the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast into the great wine-press of the fury of God;
So the angel thrust his sickle into the earth and gathered the vine of the earth, and threw it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.
20 a nd the wine-press was trodden without the city, and blood went out of the wine-press to the bits of the horses for a thousand six hundred stadia.
And the winepress was trampled outside the city, and blood came out of the winepress, up to the horses’ bridles, for one thousand six hundred furlongs.
