3 A nd he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the crowd, because he was little of stature.
And he sought to see who Jesus was, but could not because of the crowd, for he was of short stature.
4 A nd he ran on before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.
So he ran ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him, for He was going to pass that way.
5 A nd when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to-day I must abide at thy house.
And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and saw him, and said to him, “Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house.”
6 A nd he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully.
So he made haste and came down, and received Him joyfully.
7 A nd when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, He is gone in to lodge with a man that is a sinner.
But when they saw it, they all complained, saying, “He has gone to be a guest with a man who is a sinner.”
8 A nd Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord, Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have wrongfully exacted aught of any man, I restore fourfold.
Then Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord, I give half of my goods to the poor; and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I restore fourfold.”
9 A nd Jesus said unto him, To-day is salvation come to this house, forasmuch as he also is a son of Abraham.
And Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham;
10 F or the Son of man came to seek and to save that which was lost.
for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” The Parable of the Minas
11 A nd as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they supposed that the kingdom of God was immediately to appear.
Now as they heard these things, He spoke another parable, because He was near Jerusalem and because they thought the kingdom of God would appear immediately.

But his citizens hated him, and sent a delegation after him, saying, ‘We will not have this man to reign over us.’
15 A nd it came to pass, when he was come back again, having received the kingdom, that he commanded these servants, unto whom he had given the money, to be called to him, that he might know what they had gained by trading.
“And so it was that when he returned, having received the kingdom, he then commanded these servants, to whom he had given the money, to be called to him, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading.
16 A nd the first came before him, saying, Lord, thy pound hath made ten pounds more.
Then came the first, saying, ‘Master, your mina has earned ten minas.’
17 A nd he said unto him, Well done, thou good servant: because thou wast found faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.
And he said to him, ‘Well done, good servant; because you were faithful in a very little, have authority over ten cities.’
18 A nd the second came, saying, Thy pound, Lord, hath made five pounds.
And the second came, saying, ‘Master, your mina has earned five minas.’
19 A nd he said unto him also, Be thou also over five cities.
Likewise he said to him, ‘You also be over five cities.’
20 A nd another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I kept laid up in a napkin:

For I feared you, because you are an austere man. You collect what you did not deposit, and reap what you did not sow.’
22 H e saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I am an austere man, taking up that which I laid not down, and reaping that which I did not sow;
And he said to him, ‘Out of your own mouth I will judge you, you wicked servant. You knew that I was an austere man, collecting what I did not deposit and reaping what I did not sow.
23 t hen wherefore gavest thou not my money into the bank, and I at my coming should have required it with interest?
Why then did you not put my money in the bank, that at my coming I might have collected it with interest?’
24 A nd he said unto them that stood by, Take away from him the pound, and give it unto him that hath the ten pounds.
“And he said to those who stood by, ‘Take the mina from him, and give it to him who has ten minas.’
25 A nd they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.
(But they said to him, ‘Master, he has ten minas.’)
26 I say unto you, that unto every one that hath shall be given; but from him that hath not, even that which he hath shall be taken away from him.
‘For I say to you, that to everyone who has will be given; and from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.
27 B ut these mine enemies, that would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.
But bring here those enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, and slay them before me.’” The Triumphal Entry

saying, “Go into the village opposite you, where as you enter you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever sat. Loose it and bring it here.
31 A nd if any one ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say, The Lord hath need of him.
And if anyone asks you, ‘Why are you loosing it? ’ thus you shall say to him, ‘Because the Lord has need of it.’”
32 A nd they that were sent went away, and found even as he had said unto them.
So those who were sent went their way and found it just as He had said to them.
33 A nd as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them, Why loose ye the colt?
But as they were loosing the colt, the owners of it said to them, “Why are you loosing the colt?”
34 A nd they said, The Lord hath need of him.
And they said, “The Lord has need of him.”
35 A nd they brought him to Jesus: and they threw their garments upon the colt, and set Jesus thereon.
Then they brought him to Jesus. And they threw their own clothes on the colt, and they set Jesus on him.
36 A nd as he went, they spread their garments in the way.
And as He went, many spread their clothes on the road.
37 A nd as he was now drawing nigh, even at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works which they had seen;

And some of the Pharisees called to Him from the crowd, “Teacher, rebuke Your disciples.”
40 A nd he answered and said, I tell you that, if these shall hold their peace, the stones will cry out.
But He answered and said to them, “I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out.” Jesus Weeps over Jerusalem
41 A nd when he drew nigh, he saw the city and wept over it,
Now as He drew near, He saw the city and wept over it,
42 s aying, If thou hadst known in this day, even thou, the things which belong unto peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.
saying, “If you had known, even you, especially in this your day, the things that make for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes.
43 F or the days shall come upon thee, when thine enemies shall cast up a bank about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,
For days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment around you, surround you and close you in on every side,
44 a nd shall dash thee to the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.
and level you, and your children within you, to the ground; and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not know the time of your visitation.” Jesus Cleanses the Temple

46 s aying unto them, It is written, And my house shall be a house of prayer: but ye have made it a den of robbers.
