1 I n thee, O Jehovah, do I take refuge: Let me never be put to shame.
In You, O Lord, I put my trust; Let me never be put to shame.
2 D eliver me in thy righteousness, and rescue me: Bow down thine ear unto me, and save me.
Deliver me in Your righteousness, and cause me to escape; Incline Your ear to me, and save me.
3 B e thou to me a rock of habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: Thou hast given commandment to save me; For thou art my rock and my fortress.
Be my strong refuge, To which I may resort continually; You have given the commandment to save me, For You are my rock and my fortress.
4 R escue me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, Out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.
Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, Out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.
5 F or thou art my hope, O Lord Jehovah: Thou art my trust from my youth.
For You are my hope, O Lord G OD; You are my trust from my youth.
6 B y thee have I been holden up from the womb; Thou art he that took me out of my mother's bowels: My praise shall be continually of thee.
By You I have been upheld from birth; You are He who took me out of my mother’s womb. My praise shall be continually of You.
7 I am as a wonder unto many; But thou art my strong refuge.
I have become as a wonder to many, But You are my strong refuge.
8 M y mouth shall be filled with thy praise, And with thy honor all the day.
Let my mouth be filled with Your praise And with Your glory all the day.
9 C ast me not off in the time of old age; Forsake me not when my strength faileth.
Do not cast me off in the time of old age; Do not forsake me when my strength fails.
10 F or mine enemies speak concerning me; And they that watch for my soul take counsel together,
For my enemies speak against me; And those who lie in wait for my life take counsel together,

Saying, “God has forsaken him; Pursue and take him, for there is none to deliver him.”
12 O God, be not far from me; O my God, make haste to help me.
O God, do not be far from me; O my God, make haste to help me!
13 L et them be put to shame and consumed that are adversaries to my soul; Let them be covered with reproach and dishonor that seek my hurt.
Let them be confounded and consumed Who are adversaries of my life; Let them be covered with reproach and dishonor Who seek my hurt.
14 B ut I will hope continually, And will praise thee yet more and more.
But I will hope continually, And will praise You yet more and more.
15 M y mouth shall tell of thy righteousness, And of thy salvation all the day; For I know not the numbers thereof.
My mouth shall tell of Your righteousness And Your salvation all the day, For I do not know their limits.
16 I will come with the mighty acts of the Lord Jehovah: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only.
I will go in the strength of the Lord G OD; I will make mention of Your righteousness, of Yours only.
17 O God, thou hast taught me from my youth; And hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works.
O God, You have taught me from my youth; And to this day I declare Your wondrous works.
18 Y ea, even when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not, Until I have declared thy strength unto the next generation, Thy might to every one that is to come.
Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, do not forsake me, Until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to everyone who is to come.
19 T hy righteousness also, O God, is very high; Thou who hast done great things, O God, who is like unto thee?
Also Your righteousness, O God, is very high, You who have done great things; O God, who is like You?
20 T hou, who hast showed us many and sore troubles, Wilt quicken us again, And wilt bring us up again from the depths of the earth.
You, who have shown me great and severe troubles, Shall revive me again, And bring me up again from the depths of the earth.
21 I ncrease thou my greatness, And turn again and comfort me.
You shall increase my greatness, And comfort me on every side.
22 I will also praise thee with the psaltery, Even thy truth, O my God: Unto thee will I sing praises with the harp, O thou Holy One of Israel.
Also with the lute I will praise You— And Your faithfulness, O my God! To You I will sing with the harp, O Holy One of Israel.
23 M y lips shall shout for joy when I sing praises unto thee; And my soul, which thou hast redeemed.
My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing to You, And my soul, which You have redeemed.
24 M y tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long; For they are put to shame, for they are confounded, that seek my hurt.
My tongue also shall talk of Your righteousness all the day long; For they are confounded, For they are brought to shame Who seek my hurt.
