Wir wissen aber, so unser irdisch Haus dieser Hütte zerbrochen wird, daß wir einen Bau haben, von Gott erbauet, ein Haus, nicht mit Händen gemacht, das ewig ist, im Himmel.

Und darüber sehnen wir uns auch nach unsrer Behausung, die vom Himmel ist, und uns verlangt, daß wir damit überkleidet werden;

so doch, wo wir bekleidet und nicht bloß erfunden werden.

Denn dieweil wir in der Hütte sind, sehnen wir uns und sind beschwert; sintemal wir wollten lieber nicht entkleidet, sondern überkleidet werden, auf daß das Sterbliche würde verschlungen von dem Leben.

5 N a, ko te kaihanga i a tatou mo taua mea nei ano, ko te Atua, nana nei hoki i homai ki a tatou te wahi tuatahi, ara te Wairua.

Der uns aber dazu bereitet, das ist Gott, der uns das Pfand, den Geist, gegeben hat.

6 N o reira i te mea e maia tonu ana tatou, e matau ana hoki, i a tatou e noho nei i te tinana, he mea motu ke mai i te Ariki ta tatou noho:

So sind wir denn getrost allezeit und wissen, daß, dieweil wir im Leibe wohnen, so wallen wir ferne vom HERRN;

7 K o ta tatou haere hoki kei runga i te whakapono, kahore i runga i te titiro;

denn wir wandeln im Glauben, und nicht im Schauen.

8 E mea ana ahau, e maia ana ano tatou, ko ta tatou hoki e tino pai ai, kia noho motu ke i te tinana, kia noho ai i te Ariki.

Wir sind aber getrost und haben vielmehr Lust, außer dem Leibe zu wallen und daheim zu sein bei dem HERRN.

9 K oia hoki tatou ka whai nei, ahakoa i konei e noho ana, ahakoa e noho ke ana, kia ahuarekaina mai tatou e ia.

Darum fleißigen wir uns auch, wir sind daheim oder wallen, daß wir ihm wohl gefallen.

10 K ua takoto hoki te tikanga kia kitea tatou katoa ki mua i te nohoanga whakawa o te Karaiti; kia riro mai ai i tenei, i tenei, nga mea i mahia i te tinana, kia rite hoki ki tana i mahi ai, ahakoa pai, ahakoa kino.

Denn wir müssen alle offenbar werden vor dem Richtstuhl Christi, auf daß ein jeglicher empfange, nach dem er gehandelt hat bei Leibesleben, es sei gut oder böse.

11 N a, ka matau nei matou ki te wehi o te Atua, ka kukume matou i nga tangata, otira e kitea ana ano matou e te Atua; a e u ana toku whakaaro, kua kitea ano matou e o koutou hinengaro.

Dieweil wir denn wissen, daß der HERR zu fürchten ist, fahren wir schön mit den Leuten; aber Gott sind wir offenbar. Ich hoffe aber, daß wir auch in eurem Gewissen offenbar sind.

Wir loben uns nicht abermals bei euch, sondern geben euch eine Ursache, zu rühmen von uns, auf daß ihr habt zu rühmen wider die, so sich nach dem Ansehen rühmen, und nicht nach dem Herzen.

13 A hakoa hoki porangi matou, hei mea ia mo te Atua: ahakoa ranei tika o matou mahara, hei mea mo koutou.

Denn tun wir zu viel, so tun wir's Gott; sind wir mäßig, so sind wir euch mäßig.

14 E akiakina ana hoki matou e te aroha o te Karaiti; i a matou e whakaaro ana i tenei, kotahi i mate mo te katoa, no reira he hunga mate te katoa;

Denn die Liebe Christi dringt in uns also, sintemal wir halten, daß, so einer für alle gestorben ist, so sind sie alle gestorben;

15 I mate hoki ia mo te katoa, kia kaua ai te hunga e ora ana e ora mo ratou ano a muri ake nei, engari mo tenei i mate nei mo ratou, a i ara ake ano.

und er ist darum für alle gestorben, auf daß die, so da leben, hinfort nicht sich selbst leben, sondern dem, der für sie gestorben und auferstanden ist.

16 N o reira a mua ake nei e kore matou e matau ki te tangata, ara ki tona kikokiko: ae ra, ahakoa matau matou ki a te Karaiti, ara ki tona kikokiko, otiia e kore matou e matau pena ki a ia a mua ake nei.

Darum kennen wir von nun an niemand nach dem Fleisch; und ob wir auch Christum gekannt haben nach dem Fleisch, so kennen wir ihn doch jetzt nicht mehr.

17 N a ki te mea kei roto i a te Karaiti tetahi, he mahinga hou ia: kua pahemo nga mea tawhito, na kua hou nga mea katoa.

Darum, ist jemand in Christo, so ist er eine neue Kreatur; das Alte ist vergangen, siehe, es ist alles neu geworden!

18 K o te putake ia o nga mea katoa ko te Atua, i hohou nei i ta tatou rongo ki a ia i runga i a te Karaiti, a homai ana e ia ki a matou te minitatanga o te houhanga rongo;

Aber das alles von Gott, der uns mit ihm selber versöhnt hat durch Jesum Christum und das Amt gegeben, das die Versöhnung predigt.

19 A ra, i roto te Atua i a te Karaiti e hohou ana i ta te ao rongo ki a ia, kore ake e whakairia ki a ratou o ratou he; a kua tukua mai ki a matou te kupu mo te houhanga rongo.

Denn Gott war in Christo und versöhnte die Welt mit ihm selber und rechnete ihnen ihre Sünden nicht zu und hat unter uns aufgerichtet das Wort von der Versöhnung.

20 N a he karere matou na te Karaiti, me te mea ano ko te Atua tenei kei roto i a matou e karanga ana; ko matou hei whakakapi mo te Karaiti ki te tohe atu kia koutou, kia hohia ta koutou rongo ki te Atua.

So sind wir nun Botschafter an Christi Statt, denn Gott vermahnt durch uns; so bitten wir nun an Christi Statt: Lasset euch versöhnen mit Gott.

21 K o ia, kihai nei i matau ki te hara, meinga ana hei hara mo tatou, kia meinga ai tatou ko te tika o te Atua i roto i a ia.

Denn er hat den, der von keiner Sünde wußte, für uns zur Sünde gemacht, auf daß wir würden in ihm die Gerechtigkeit, die vor Gott gilt.
