1 A nd after these things I heard a great voice of a great multitude in the heaven, saying, `Alleluia! the salvation, and the glory, and the honour, and the power, to the Lord our God;
¶ And after these things I heard a great voice of a great company in the heaven, saying, Halelu-JAH; Salvation and glory and honour and power unto the Lord our God;
2 b ecause true and righteous His judgments, because He did judge the great whore who did corrupt the earth in her whoredom, and He did avenge the blood of His servants at her hand;'
for true and righteous are his judgments; for he has judged the great whore, who corrupted the earth with her fornication, and has avenged the blood of his slaves at her hand.
3 a nd a second time they said, `Alleluia;' and her smoke doth come up -- to the ages of the ages!
And again they said, Halelu-JAH. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.
4 A nd fall down did the elders -- the twenty and four -- and the four living creatures, and they did bow before God who is sitting upon the throne, saying, `Amen, Alleluia.'
And the twenty-four elders and the four animals fell upon their faces and worshipped God that was seated upon the throne, saying, Amen! Halelu-JAH!
5 A nd a voice out of the throne did come forth, saying, `Praise our God, all ye His servants, and those fearing Him, both the small and the great;'
¶ And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his slaves and ye that fear him, both small and great.
6 a nd I heard as the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, `Alleluia! because reign did the Lord God -- the Almighty!
And I heard as it were the voice of a great company and as the voice of many waters and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Halelu-JAH; for the Lord God almighty reigns.
7 m ay we rejoice and exult, and give the glory to Him, because come did the marriage of the Lamb, and his wife did make herself ready;
Let us be glad and rejoice and give glory to him; for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his bride has made herself ready.
8 a nd there was given to her that she may be arrayed with fine linen, pure and shining, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.'
And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright: for the fine linen is the righteousness of the saints.
9 A nd he saith to me, `Write: Happy they who to the supper of the marriage of the Lamb have been called;' and he saith to me, `These the true words of God;'
And he said unto me, Write, Blessed are those who are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he said unto me, These are the true words of God.
10 a nd I fell before his feet, to bow before him, and he saith to me, `See -- not! fellow servant of thee am I, and of thy brethren, those having the testimony of Jesus; bow before God, for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of the prophecy.'
And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant and with thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus; worship God; for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
11 A nd I saw the heaven having been opened, and lo, a white horse, and he who is sitting upon it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness doth he judge and war,
¶ And I saw the heaven open, and behold a white horse; and he that was seated upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war.
12 a nd his eyes as a flame of fire, and upon his head many diadems -- having a name written that no one hath known, except himself,
And his eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no one has known, but he himself.
13 a nd he is arrayed with a garment covered with blood, and his name is called, The Word of God.
And he was clothed with a garment dipped in blood; and his name is called The Word of God.
14 A nd the armies in the heaven were following him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen -- white and pure;
And the armies that are in the heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15 a nd out of his mouth doth proceed a sharp sword, that with it he may smite the nations, and he shall rule them with a rod of iron, and he doth tread the press of the wine of the wrath and the anger of God the Almighty,
And out of his mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the Gentiles; and he shall rule them with a rod of iron; and he treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16 a nd he hath upon the garment and upon his thigh the name written, `King of kings, and Lord of lords.'
And he has on his garment and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
17 A nd I saw one messenger standing in the sun, and he cried, a great voice, saying to all the birds that are flying in mid-heaven, `Come and be gathered together to the supper of the great God,
And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that flew in the midst of the heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God,
18 t hat ye may eat flesh of kings, and flesh of chiefs of thousands, and flesh of strong men, and flesh of horses, and of those sitting on them, and the flesh of all -- freemen and servants -- both small and great.'
that ye may eat flesh of kings and flesh of captains, and flesh of mighty men and flesh of horses and of those that sit on them and the flesh of everyone, free and bond, both small and great.
19 A nd I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, having been gathered together to make war with him who is sitting upon the horse, and with his army;
And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against him that was seated upon the horse and against his army.
20 a nd the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet who did the signs before him, in which he led astray those who did receive the mark of the beast, and those who did bow before his image; living they were cast -- the two -- to the lake of the fire, that is burning with brimstone;
And the beast was taken and with it the false prophet that wrought miracles in its presence, with which he had deceived those that had taken the mark of the beast and had worshipped its image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone.
21 a nd the rest were killed with the sword of him who is sitting on the horse, which is proceeding out of his mouth, and all the birds were filled out of their flesh.
And the others were slain with the sword that proceeded out of the mouth of him that was seated upon the horse; and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.
