1 A nd the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

The Lord said to Moses,

2 T ake Aaron and his sons with him, and the garments, and the anointing oil, and a bullock for the sin offering, and two rams, and a basket of unleavened bread;

“Take Aaron and his sons, and the clothing, the oil for holy use, the bull for the sin gift, the two rams and the basket of bread without yeast.

3 a nd gather thou all the congregation together unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

And gather together all the people at the door of the meeting tent.”

4 A nd Moses did as the Lord commanded him; and the assembly was gathered together unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

So Moses did just as the Lord told him. The people were gathered together at the door of the meeting tent.

5 A nd Moses said unto the congregation, This is the thing which the Lord commanded to be done.

Moses said to the people, “This is what the Lord has said to do.”

6 A nd Moses brought Aaron and his sons, and washed them with water.

Moses brought Aaron and his sons, and washed them with water.

7 A nd he put upon him the coat, and girded him with the girdle, and clothed him with the robe, and put the ephod upon him, and he girded him with the curious girdle of the ephod, and bound it unto him therewith.

He dressed him with the coat, the belt, the long piece of clothing, and the linen vest. He tied the well-made rope of the linen vest, to keep his clothing in place.

8 A nd he put the breastplate upon him: also he put in the breastplate the Urim and the Thummim.

Then he put the breast-piece on him. And he put the Urim and the Thummim into the breast-piece.

9 A nd he put the mitre upon his head; also upon the mitre, even upon his forefront, did he put the golden plate, the holy crown; as the Lord commanded Moses.

He put the head covering on his head. And on the front of it he put the gold plate, the holy crown, just as the Lord had told Moses.

10 A nd Moses took the anointing oil, and anointed the tabernacle and all that was therein, and sanctified them.

Then Moses took the oil for holy use and poured it on the meeting tent and all that was in it, and made them holy.

11 A nd he sprinkled thereof upon the altar seven times, and anointed the altar and all his vessels, both the laver and his foot, to sanctify them.

He put some of it on the altar seven times. He poured this oil on the altar and all its objects, and the washing pot and its base, to make them holy.

12 A nd he poured of the anointing oil upon Aaron’s head, and anointed him, to sanctify him.

And he poured some of the oil for holy use on Aaron’s head, to make him holy.

13 A nd Moses brought Aaron’s sons, and put coats upon them, and girded them with girdles, and put bonnets upon them; as the Lord commanded Moses.

Then Moses had Aaron’s sons come near and dressed them with coats, belts and head coverings, just as the Lord had told Moses.

14 A nd he brought the bullock for the sin offering: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the bullock for the sin offering.

Moses brought the bull of the sin gift. And Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the bull of the sin gift.

15 A nd he slew it; and Moses took the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about with his finger, and purified the altar, and poured the blood at the bottom of the altar, and sanctified it, to make reconciliation upon it.

Then Moses killed it. He took some of the blood, and put it around on the horns of the altar with his finger, to make the altar clean. He poured out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar to make it holy.

16 A nd he took all the fat that was upon the inwards, and the caul above the liver, and the two kidneys, and their fat, and Moses burned it upon the altar.

He took all the fat that was on the inside parts, and the part that was on the liver, and the two kidneys and their fat. And Moses burned them on the altar.

17 B ut the bullock, and his hide, his flesh, and his dung, he burnt with fire without the camp; as the Lord commanded Moses.

But the bull and its skin, its meat and its waste, he burned in the fire away from the tents, just as the Lord had told Moses.

18 A nd he brought the ram for the burnt offering: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the ram.

Moses brought the ram of the burnt gift. And Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the sheep.

19 A nd he killed it; and Moses sprinkled the blood upon the altar round about.

Then Moses killed it and put the blood around on the altar.

20 A nd he cut the ram into pieces; and Moses burnt the head, and the pieces, and the fat.

He cut the ram into pieces. And Moses burned the head, the pieces, and the fat.

21 A nd he washed the inwards and the legs in water; and Moses burnt the whole ram upon the altar: it was a burnt sacrifice for a sweet savour, and an offering made by fire unto the Lord; as the Lord commanded Moses.

After he had washed the inside parts and the legs with water, Moses burned the whole ram on the altar. It was a burnt gift for a pleasing smell. It was a gift by fire to the Lord, just as the Lord had told Moses.

22 A nd he brought the other ram, the ram of consecration: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the ram.

Then Moses brought the ram, the ram for setting them apart. Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram.

23 A nd he slew it; and Moses took of the blood of it, and put it upon the tip of Aaron’s right ear, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot.

And Moses killed it, took some of its blood, and put it on the bottom of Aaron’s right ear, the thumb of his right hand, and the big toe of his right foot.

24 A nd he brought Aaron’s sons, and Moses put of the blood upon the tip of their right ear, and upon the thumbs of their right hands, and upon the great toes of their right feet: and Moses sprinkled the blood upon the altar round about.

Then he had Aaron’s sons come near. Moses put some of the blood on the bottom of their right ear, the thumb of their right hand, and the big toe of their right foot. Then Moses put the rest of the blood around on the altar.

25 A nd he took the fat, and the rump, and all the fat that was upon the inwards, and the caul above the liver, and the two kidneys, and their fat, and the right shoulder:

He took the fat, the fat tail, all the fat that was on the inside parts, the part that is on the liver, the two kidneys and their fat, and the right thigh.

26 a nd out of the basket of unleavened bread, that was before the Lord, he took one unleavened cake, and a cake of oiled bread, and one wafer, and put them on the fat, and upon the right shoulder:

From the basket of bread made without yeast that was before the Lord, he took one loaf without yeast, and one loaf of bread mixed with oil, and one piece of hard bread. And he put them on the fat parts and the right thigh.

27 a nd he put all upon Aaron’s hands, and upon his sons’ hands, and waved them for a wave offering before the Lord.

He put all these on the hands of Aaron and his sons, and waved them for a wave gift before the Lord.

28 A nd Moses took them from off their hands, and burnt them on the altar upon the burnt offering: they were consecrations for a sweet savour: it is an offering made by fire unto the Lord.

Then Moses took these things from their hands and burned them on the altar with the burnt gift. It was a gift to set them apart. It was a pleasing smell, a gift by fire to the Lord.

29 A nd Moses took the breast, and waved it for a wave offering before the Lord: for of the ram of consecration it was Moses’ part; as the Lord commanded Moses.

Moses took the breast of the ram also. He gave it as a wave gift before the Lord. It was Moses’ part of the ram for setting Aaron and his sons apart, just as the Lord had told Moses.

30 A nd Moses took of the anointing oil, and of the blood which was upon the altar, and sprinkled it upon Aaron, and upon his garments, and upon his sons, and upon his sons’ garments with him; and sanctified Aaron, and his garments, and his sons, and his sons’ garments with him.

Moses took some of the oil for holy use and some of the blood that was on the altar. He put it on Aaron and his clothing, and on his sons and their clothing. So Aaron and his clothing and his sons and their clothing were set apart.

31 A nd Moses said unto Aaron and to his sons, Boil the flesh at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and there eat it with the bread that is in the basket of consecrations, as I commanded, saying, Aaron and his sons shall eat it.

Then Moses said to Aaron and his sons, “Boil the meat at the door of the meeting tent. And eat it there with the bread which is in the basket that was set apart as an offering. Just as I said, ‘Aaron and his sons will eat it.’

32 A nd that which remaineth of the flesh and of the bread shall ye burn with fire.

Burn in the fire what is left of the flesh and the bread.

33 A nd ye shall not go out of the door of the tabernacle of the congregation in seven days, until the days of your consecration be at an end: for seven days shall he consecrate you.

Do not go outside the door of the meeting tent for seven days, until the time is over for you to be set apart. For it will take seven days to set you apart.

34 A s he hath done this day, so the Lord hath commanded to do, to make an atonement for you.

The Lord has told us to do what has been done today, to take away your sins.

35 T herefore shall ye abide at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation day and night seven days, and keep the charge of the Lord, that ye die not: for so I am commanded.

Stay day and night at the door of the meeting tent for seven days. Do what the Lord has told you to do, so you will not die. For this is what I have been told.”

36 S o Aaron and his sons did all things which the Lord commanded by the hand of Moses.

So Aaron and his sons did all that the Lord had told them to do by Moses.
