1 T hose who trust in Yahweh are as Mount Zion, which can’t be moved, but remains forever.

A Song of the Ascents. Those trusting in Jehovah as Mount Zion, It is not moved -- to the age it abideth.

2 A s the mountains surround Jerusalem, so Yahweh surrounds his people from this time forward and forever more.

Jerusalem! mountains round about her, And Jehovah round about His people, From henceforth even unto the age.

3 F or the scepter of wickedness won’t remain over the allotment of the righteous; so that the righteous won’t use their hands to do evil.

For the rod of wickedness resteth not On the lot of the righteous, That the righteous put not forth on iniquity their hands.

4 D o good, Yahweh, to those who are good, to those who are upright in their hearts.

Do good, O Jehovah, to the good, And to the upright in their hearts.

5 B ut as for those who turn aside to their crooked ways, Yahweh will lead them away with the workers of iniquity. Peace be on Israel.

As to those turning their crooked ways, Jehovah causeth them to go with workers of iniquity. Peace on Israel!
