1 O God, You have cast us off; You have broken us down; You have been displeased; Oh, restore us again!

3 Y ou have shown Your people hard things; You have made us drink the wine of confusion.

4 Y ou have given a banner to those who fear You, That it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah

5 T hat Your beloved may be delivered, Save with Your right hand, and hear me.

6 G od has spoken in His holiness: “I will rejoice; I will divide Shechem And measure out the Valley of Succoth.

7 G ilead is Mine, and Manasseh is Mine; Ephraim also is the helmet for My head; Judah is My lawgiver.

Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the defence of my head; Judah is my sceptre.

8 M oab is My washpot; Over Edom I will cast My shoe; Philistia, shout in triumph because of Me.”

Moab is my washpot; Upon Edom will I cast my shoe: Philistia, shout thou because of me.

9 W ho will bring me to the strong city? Who will lead me to Edom?

Who will bring me into the strong city? Who hath led me unto Edom?

10 I s it not You, O God, who cast us off? And You, O God, who did not go out with our armies?

Hast not thou, O God, cast us off? And thou goest not forth, O God, with our hosts.

11 G ive us help from trouble, For the help of man is useless.

Give us help against the adversary; For vain is the help of man.

12 T hrough God we will do valiantly, For it is He who shall tread down our enemies.

Through God we shall do valiantly; For he it is that will tread down our adversaries.
