1 Corinthians 3 ~ 1 Corinthians 3

1 A nd I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual men, but as to men of flesh, as to infants in Christ.

And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.

2 I gave you milk to drink, not solid food; for you were not yet able to receive it. Indeed, even now you are not yet able,

I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.

3 f or you are still fleshly. For since there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not fleshly, and are you not walking like mere men?

For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

4 F or when one says, “I am of Paul,” and another, “I am of Apollos,” are you not mere men?

For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?

5 W hat then is Apollos? And what is Paul? Servants through whom you believed, even as the Lord gave opportunity to each one.

Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?

6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God was causing the growth.

I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.

7 S o then neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but God who causes the growth.

So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.

8 N ow he who plants and he who waters are one; but each will receive his own reward according to his own labor.

Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.

9 F or we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building.

For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.

10 A ccording to the grace of God which was given to me, like a wise master builder I laid a foundation, and another is building on it. But each man must be careful how he builds on it.

According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

11 F or no man can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

12 N ow if any man builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw,

Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;

13 e ach man’s work will become evident; for the day will show it because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire itself will test the quality of each man’s work.

Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

14 I f any man’s work which he has built on it remains, he will receive a reward.

If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

15 I f any man’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.

If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

16 D o you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

17 I f any man destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him, for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are.

If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

18 L et no man deceive himself. If any man among you thinks that he is wise in this age, he must become foolish, so that he may become wise.

Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.

19 F or the wisdom of this world is foolishness before God. For it is written, “ He is the one who catches the wise in their craftiness ”;

For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

20 a nd again, “ The Lord knows the reasonings of the wise, that they are useless.”

And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.

21 S o then let no one boast in men. For all things belong to you,

Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are your's;

22 w hether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or things present or things to come; all things belong to you,

Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are your's;

23 a nd you belong to Christ; and Christ belongs to God.

And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's.
