1 T hen answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
Then Bildad the Shuhite answered,
2 D ominion and fear are with him; He maketh peace in his high places.
“ Dominion and awe belong to Him Who establishes peace in His heights.
3 I s there any number of his armies? And upon whom doth not his light arise?
“Is there any number to His troops? And upon whom does His light not rise?
4 H ow then can man be just with God? Or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?
“How then can a man be just with God? Or how can he be clean who is born of woman?
5 B ehold, even the moon hath no brightness, And the stars are not pure in his sight:
“If even the moon has no brightness And the stars are not pure in His sight,
6 H ow much less man, that is a worm! And the son of man, that is a worm!
How much less man, that maggot, And the son of man, that worm!”
