1 A nd are the children of Israel after their number, the chief fathers and captains of thousands and hundreds, and their officers that served the king in every matter of the divisions, which came in and went out month by month throughout the months of the year; in every division were twenty-four thousand.

Ban trưởng của ban thứ nhứt về tháng giêng, là Gia-sô-bê-am, con trai của Xáp-đi-ên; trong ban người có hai vạn bốn ngàn người.

3 H e was of the children of Pherez, the head of all the captains of the hosts for the first month.

Người thuộc về dòng Phê-rết, làm đầu các quan tướng về tháng giêng.

4 A nd over the division of the second month was Dodai the Ahohite; and in his division was Mikloth ruler; and in his division were twenty-four thousand.

Ban trưởng của ban tháng hai là Đô-đai, người A-hô-ha; Mích-lô làm quan chánh trong ban người; ban người có hai vạn bốn ngàn người.

5 T he third captain of the host for the third month was Benaiah (the son of Jehoiada, a principal officer): head; and in his division were twenty-four thousand.

Ban trưởng của ban thứ ba về tháng ba, là Bê-na-gia, con trai của thầy tế lễ Giê-hô-gia-đa; trong ban người có hai vạn bốn ngàn người.

6 T his Benaiah was a mighty man among the thirty, and above the thirty; and in his division was Ammizabad his son.

Bê-na-gia nầy là người mạnh dạn trong ba mươi người kia, và làm đầu ba mươi người ấy; Am-mi-xa-đáp, con trai người, cũng ở trong ban người.

7 T he fourth for the fourth month was Asahel the brother of Joab, and Zebadiah his son after him; and in his division were twenty-four thousand.

Ban trưởng thứ tư về tháng tư, là A-sa-ên, anh em của Giô-áp, và Xê-ba-đia, con trai người, tiếp theo người; trong ban người có hai vạn bốn ngàn người.

8 T he fifth for the fifth month was the captain Shamhuth the Jizrahite; and in his division were twenty-four thousand.

Ban trưởng thứ năm về tháng năm, là Sa-mê-hút, người Gít-ra; trong ban người có hai vạn bốn ngàn người.

9 T he sixth for the sixth month was Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite; and in his division were twenty-four thousand.

Ban trưởng thứ sáu về tháng sáu, là Y-ra, con trai Y-ke, ở Thê-cô -a; trong ban người có hai vạn bốn ngàn người.

10 T he seventh for the seventh month was Helez the Pelonite, of the children of Ephraim; and in his division were twenty-four thousand.

29 A nd over the herds that fed in Sharon was Shitrai the Sharonite; and over the herds in the valleys was Shaphat the son of Adlai.

30 A nd over the camels was Obil the Ishmaelite; and over the asses was Jehdiah the Meronothite.

31 A nd over the flocks was Jaziz the Hagarite. All these were comptrollers of the substance which was king David's.

Các người đó đều là kẻ cai quản các sản nghiệp của vua Đa-vít.

32 A nd Jonathan, David's uncle, was counsellor, a wise man, and a scribe; and Jehiel the son of Hachmoni was with the king's sons;

Giô-na-than, cậu của Đa-vít, làm mưu sĩ, là một người thông sáng và làm quan ký lục; còn Giê-hi-ên con trai của Hác-mô-ni, làm giáo sư các vương tử.

33 a nd Ahithophel was the king's counsellor; and Hushai the Archite was the king's friend;

34 a nd after Ahithophel was Jehoiada the son of Benaiah, and Abiathar; and Joab was captain of the king's army.

Sau A-hi-tô-phên có Giê-hô-gia-đa, con trai của Bê-na-gia, và A-bia-tha. Giô-áp làm quan tướng đội binh của vua.
