1 O God, make the king right in what he decides. Make the king’s son right with You.

Give the king thy judgments, O God, and thy righteousness unto the king’s son.

2 M ay he be right when he decides who is right and who is wrong and may he be fair to the poor.

He shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with judgment.

3 L et mountains and hills bring peace to the people through what is right and good.

The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness.

4 M ay he stand by those who are poor, save the children of those in need, and destroy the bad power over them.

He shall judge the poor of the people, he shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor.

5 M ay all the children-to-come fear You as long as the sun and the moon last.

They shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations.

6 M ay He come down like rain upon the cut grass, like rain that waters the earth.

He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth.

7 I n His days may all go well with those who are right and good. And may there be much peace until the moon is no more.

In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth.

8 M ay he also rule from sea to sea, and from the river to the ends of the earth.

He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.

9 T hose who live in the desert will put their faces to the ground before Him. And those who hate Him will kiss the dust.

They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his enemies shall lick the dust.

10 L et the kings of Tarshish and of the islands bring gifts. Let the kings of Sheba and Seba bring gifts.

The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.

11 Y es, let all kings fall down at His feet, and all nations serve Him.

Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him.

12 F or He will take out of trouble the one in need when he cries for help, and the poor man who has no one to help.

For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper.

13 H e will have loving-pity on the weak and those in need. He will save the lives of those in need.

He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy.

14 H e will take them from the bad power that is held over them and from being hurt. Their blood will be of much worth in His eyes.

He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in his sight.

15 H e will live, and the gold of Sheba will be given to Him. Prayer will be given for Him all the time. Let them honor Him all day long.

And he shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba: prayer also shall be made for him continually; and daily shall he be praised.

16 M ay there be much grain in the land on top of the mountains. May its fruit grow like the trees of Lebanon. And may those of the city grow like the grass of the earth.

There shall be an handful of corn in the earth upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon: and they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.

17 M ay His name last forever. May His name become bigger as long as the sun shines. And let men respect themselves through Him. Let all nations honor Him.

His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed.

18 H onor and thanks be to the Lord God, the God of Israel, Who alone does great things.

Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things.

19 A nd honor be to His great name forever. May the whole earth be filled with His shining-greatness. Let it be so.

And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.
