1 T he Lord rules. He is dressed with great power. The Lord has dressed Himself with strength. For sure, the world is built to last. It will not be moved.

The Lord reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the Lord is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved.

2 Y our throne is set up from long ago. You have always been.

Thy throne is established of old: thou art from everlasting.

3 T he floods have lifted up, O Lord. The floods have lifted up their voice. The floods lift up their beating waves.

The floods have lifted up, O Lord, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their waves.

4 T he Lord on high is more powerful than the sound of many waters and the strong waves of the sea.

The Lord on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea.

5 Y our Word is very sure. O Lord, Your house is holy forever.

Thy testimonies are very sure: holiness becometh thine house, O Lord, for ever.
