1 B lessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is everyone who fears, reveres, and worships the Lord, who walks in His ways and lives according to His commandments.

How blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, Who walks in His ways.

2 F or you shall eat of the labor of your hands; happy (blessed, fortunate, enviable) shall you be, and it shall be well with you.

When you shall eat of the fruit of your hands, You will be happy and it will be well with you.

3 Y our wife shall be like a fruitful vine in the innermost parts of your house; your children shall be like olive plants round about your table.

Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine Within your house, Your children like olive plants Around your table.

4 B ehold, thus shall the man be blessed who reverently and worshipfully fears the Lord.

Behold, for thus shall the man be blessed Who fears the Lord.

5 M ay the Lord bless you out of Zion, and may you see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of your life;

The Lord bless you from Zion, And may you see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of your life.

6 Y es, may you see your children’s children. Peace be upon Israel!
