1 H ear my cry, O God; Attend to my prayer.

Hear, O God, my cry; attend unto my prayer.

2 F rom the end of the earth I will cry to You, When my heart is overwhelmed; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

From the end of the earth will I call unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: thou wilt lead me on to a rock which is too high for me.

3 F or You have been a shelter for me, A strong tower from the enemy.

For thou hast been a refuge for me, a strong tower from before the enemy.

4 I will abide in Your tabernacle forever; I will trust in the shelter of Your wings. Selah

I will sojourn in thy tent for ever; I will take refuge in the covert of thy wings. Selah.

5 F or You, O God, have heard my vows; You have given me the heritage of those who fear Your name.

For thou, O God, hast heard my vows; thou hast given the inheritance of those that fear thy name.

6 Y ou will prolong the king’s life, His years as many generations.

Thou wilt add days to the days of the king: his years shall be as many generations.

7 H e shall abide before God forever. Oh, prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him!

He shall abide before God for ever: bestow loving-kindness and truth, that they may preserve him.

8 S o I will sing praise to Your name forever, That I may daily perform my vows.

So will I sing forth thy name for ever, performing my vows from day to day.
