Revelation 5 ~ Revelation 5

picture

1 A nd I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the back, close sealed with seven seals.

¶ And I saw in the right hand of him that was seated on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.

2 A nd I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a great voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?

And I saw a strong angel preaching with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book and to loose its seals?

3 A nd no one in the heaven, or on the earth, or under the earth, was able to open the book, or to look thereon.

And no one was able not in the heaven nor in the earth neither under the earth to open the book neither to look upon it.

4 A nd I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open the book, or to look thereon:

And I wept much because no one was found worthy to open the book nor to read it neither to look upon it.

5 a nd one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not; behold, the Lion that is of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath overcome to open the book and the seven seals thereof.

And one of the elders said unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, who has overcome to open the book and to loose its seven seals.

6 A nd I saw in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, having seven horns, and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God, sent forth into all the earth.

¶ And I saw, and, behold, in the midst of the throne and of the four animals and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

7 A nd he came, and he taketh it out of the right hand of him that sat on the throne.

And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that was seated upon the throne.

8 A nd when he had taken the book, the four living creatures and the four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having each one a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.

And when he had taken the book, the four animals and the twenty-four elders fell on their faces before the Lamb, each one of them having harps, and golden vials full of incense, which are the prayers of saints.

9 A nd they sing a new song, saying, Worthy art thou to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou was slain, and didst purchase unto God with thy blood men of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation,

And they sang a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book and to open its seals, for thou wast slain and hast redeemed us unto God by thy blood, out of every kindred and tongue and people and nation

10 a nd madest them to be unto our God a kingdom and priests; and they reign upon earth.

and hast made us unto our God kings and priests, and we shall reign on the earth.

11 A nd I saw, and I heard a voice of many angels round about the throne and the living creatures and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;

And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and of the animals and of the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;

12 s aying with a great voice, Worthy is the Lamb that hath been slain to receive the power, and riches, and wisdom, and might and honor, and glory, and blessing.

saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to take power and riches and wisdom and strength and honour and glory and blessing.

13 A nd every created thing which is in the heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and on the sea, and all things are in them, heard I saying, Unto him that sitteth on the throne, and unto the Lamb, be the blessing, and the honor, and the glory, and the dominion, for ever and ever.

And I heard every creature which is in heaven and upon the earth and under the earth and such as are upon the sea and all that are in it, saying, Blessing and honour and glory and power, be unto him that is seated upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.

14 A nd the four living creatures said, Amen. And the elders fell down and worshipped.

And the four animals said, Amen. And the twenty-four elders fell on their faces and worshipped him that lives for ever and ever.
