1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.

2 A nd do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Serve God with Spiritual Gifts

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

3 F or I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.

For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

4 F or as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function,

For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:

5 s o we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.

So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

6 H aving then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith;

Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;

7 o r ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching;

Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;

8 h e who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness. Behave Like a Christian

Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

9 L et love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.

Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

10 B e kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another;

Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;

11 n ot lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;

Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;

12 r ejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer;

Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;

13 d istributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality.

Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.

14 B less those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.

Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.

15 R ejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.

Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.

16 B e of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion.

Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.

17 R epay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men.

Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.

18 I f it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.

If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

19 B eloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.

Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

20 T herefore “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.”

Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

21 D o not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
