1 A scribe to Yahweh, you sons of the mighty, ascribe to Yahweh glory and strength.

Give unto the Lord, O ye mighty, give unto the Lord glory and strength.

3 Y ahweh’s voice is on the waters. The God of glory thunders, even Yahweh on many waters.

The voice of the Lord is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the Lord is upon many waters.

4 Y ahweh’s voice is powerful. Yahweh’s voice is full of majesty.

The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty.

5 Y ahweh’s voice breaks the cedars. Yes, Yahweh breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.

The voice of the Lord breaketh the cedars; yea, the Lord breaketh the cedars of Lebanon.

6 H e makes them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young, wild ox.

He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn.

7 Y ahweh’s voice strikes with flashes of lightning.

The voice of the Lord divideth the flames of fire.

8 Y ahweh’s voice shakes the wilderness. Yahweh shakes the wilderness of Kadesh.

The voice of the Lord shaketh the wilderness; the Lord shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh.

9 Y ahweh’s voice makes the deer calve, and strips the forests bare. In his temple everything says, “Glory!”

The voice of the Lord maketh the hinds to calve, and discovereth the forests: and in his temple doth every one speak of his glory.

10 Y ahweh sat enthroned at the Flood. Yes, Yahweh sits as King forever.

The Lord sitteth upon the flood; yea, the Lord sitteth King for ever.

11 Y ahweh will give strength to his people. Yahweh will bless his people with peace.

The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.
