1 J ehovah saith unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, Until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

A Psalm of David. The affirmation of Jehovah to my Lord: `Sit at My right hand, Till I make thine enemies thy footstool.'

2 J ehovah will send forth the rod of thy strength out of Zion: Rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.

The rod of thy strength doth Jehovah send from Zion, Rule in the midst of thine enemies.

3 T hy people offer themselves willingly In the day of thy power, in holy array: Out of the womb of the morning Thou hast the dew of thy youth.

Thy people free-will gifts in the day of Thy strength, in the honours of holiness, From the womb, from the morning, Thou hast the dew of thy youth.

4 J ehovah hath sworn, and will not repent: Thou art a priest for ever After the order of Melchizedek.

Jehovah hath sworn, and doth not repent, `Thou a priest to the age, According to the order of Melchizedek.'

5 T he Lord at thy right hand Will strike through kings in the day of his wrath.

The Lord on thy right hand smote kings In the day of His anger.

6 H e will judge among the nations, He will fill the places with dead bodies; He will strike through the head in many countries.

He doth judge among the nations, He hath completed the carcases, Hath smitten the head over the mighty earth.

7 H e will drink of the brook in the way: Therefore will he lift up the head.

From a brook in the way he drinketh, Therefore he doth lift up the head!
