1 I love the Lord, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications.

Tôi yêu mến Đức Giê-hô-va, vì Ngài nghe tiếng tôi, Và lời nài xin của tôi.

2 B ecause he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.

Tôi sẽ cầu khẩn Ngài trọn đời tôi, Bởi vì Ngài có nghiêng tai qua tôi.

3 T he sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow.

Dây sự chết vương vấn tôi, Sự đau đớn âm phủ áp hãm tôi, Tôi gặp sự gian truân và sự sầu khổ.

4 T hen called I upon the name of the Lord; O Lord, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.

Nhưng tôi kêu cầu danh Đức Giê-hô-va, rằng: Đức Giê-hô-va ôi! cầu xin Ngài giải cứu linh hồn tôi.

5 G racious is the Lord, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful.

Đức Giê-hô-va hay làm ơn, và là công bình; Đức Chúa Trời chúng ta có lòng thương xót.

6 T he Lord preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.

Đức Giê-hô-va bảo hộ người thật thà; Tôi bị khốn khổ, Ngài bèn cứu tôi.

7 R eturn unto thy rest, O my soul; for the Lord hath dealt bountifully with thee.

Hỡi linh hồn ta, hãy trở về nơi an nghỉ ngươi; Vì Đức Giê-hô-va đã hậu đãi ngươi.

8 F or thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.

Chúa đã giải cứu linh hồn tôi khỏi chết, Mắt tôi khỏi giọt lệ, Và chơn tôi khỏi vấp ngã.

9 I will walk before the Lord in the land of the living.

Tôi sẽ đi trước mặt Đức Giê-hô-va Trong đất kẻ sống.

10 I believed, therefore have I spoken: I was greatly afflicted:

Tôi tin, nên tôi nói. Tôi đã bị buồn thảm lắm.

11 I said in my haste, All men are liars.

Trong cơn bối rối tôi nói rằng: Mọi người đều nói dối.

12 W hat shall I render unto the Lord for all his benefits toward me?

Tôi sẽ lấy gì báo đáp Đức Giê-hô-va Về các ơn lành mà Ngài đã làm cho tôi?

13 I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the Lord.

Tôi sẽ cầm cái chén cứu rỗi, Mà cầu khẩn danh Đức Giê-hô-va

14 I will pay my vows unto the Lord now in the presence of all his people.

Tôi sẽ trả xong cho Đức Giê-hô-va các sự tôi hứa nguyện, Tại trước mặt cả dân sự Ngài.

15 P recious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.

Sự chết của các người thánh. Là quí báu trước mặt Đức Giê-hô-va.

16 O Lord, truly I am thy servant; I am thy servant, and the son of thine handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds.

Hỡi Đức Giê-hô-va, tôi thật là tôi tớ Ngài; Tôi là tôi tớ Ngài, con trai con đòi của Ngài; Ngài đã mở lòi tói tôi.

17 I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the Lord.

Tôi sẽ dâng của lễ thù ân cho Chúa, Và cầu khẩn danh Đức Giê-hô-va.

18 I will pay my vows unto the Lord now in the presence of all his people,

Tôi sẽ trả xong cho Đức Giê-hô-va các sự tôi hứa nguyện, Tại trước mặt cả dân sự Ngài,

19 i n the courts of the Lord’s house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise ye the Lord.

Trong hành lang của nhà Đức Giê-hô-va, Ở giữa Giê-ru-sa-lem. Ha-lê-lu-gia!
