D upă ce Israel i-a ucis pe toţi locuitorii din Ai, în câmpie şi în pustia în care îi urmăriseră, după ce aceştia au căzut cu toţii, fiind nimiciţi prin sabie, oştirea lui Israel s-a întors la Ai şi a trecut cetatea prin ascuţişul sabiei.

When Israel had finished slaying all the inhabitants of Ai in the field and in the wilderness into which they pursued them, and they were all fallen by the sword until they were consumed, then all the Israelites returned to Ai and smote it with the sword.
