Q uando Israele ebbe finito di uccidere tutti gli abitanti di Ai nella campagna, nel deserto dove quelli l’avevano inseguito, e tutti furono caduti sotto i colpi della spada finché non ne rimasero più, tutto Israele tornò verso Ai e la mise a fil di spada.

When Israel had finished slaying all the inhabitants of Ai in the field and in the wilderness into which they pursued them, and they were all fallen by the sword until they were consumed, then all the Israelites returned to Ai and smote it with the sword.
