a nd he threw the spear, thinking, “I will nail David to the wall.” But David jumped out of his way twice.

وَكانَ فِي يَدِ شاوُلَ رُمحٌ. فَقالَ شاوُلُ فِي نَفسِهِ: «سَأُسَمِّرُ داوُدَ فِي الحائِطِ بهَذا الرُّمحِ.» فَتَنَحَّى داوُدُ عَنِ الرُّمْحِ مَرَّتَينِ.
