A llora Dio si ritrasse e li lasciò servire all'esercito del cielo, com'è scritto nel libro dei profeti: "Casa d'Israele, mi avete voi offerto sacrifici e olocausti per quarant'anni nel deserto?

But God turned and delivered them up to worship and serve the host (stars) of heaven, as it is written in the book of the prophets: Did you offer to Me slain beasts and sacrifices for forty years in the wilderness (desert), O house of Israel?
