M as Deus se afastou, e os abandonou ao culto das hostes do céu, como está escrito no livro dos profetas: Porventura me oferecestes vítimas e sacrifícios por quarenta anos no deserto, ó casa de Israel?

But God turned and delivered them up to worship and serve the host (stars) of heaven, as it is written in the book of the prophets: Did you offer to Me slain beasts and sacrifices for forty years in the wilderness (desert), O house of Israel?
