a nd old and patched shoes on their feet, and wore old garments. All the bread of their food supply was dry and moldy.

وَارتَدُوا أحذِيَةً مُهتَرِئَةً مُرَقَّعَةً وَثِياباً مُهتَرِئَةً. وَكانَ كُلُّ خُبْزِهِمْ يابِساً أوْ مُتَعَفِّناً أوْ مُتَكَسِّراً.
