T hey wore old and mended shoes on their feet, and old clothes on themselves. All their bread was dry and broken.

وَارتَدُوا أحذِيَةً مُهتَرِئَةً مُرَقَّعَةً وَثِياباً مُهتَرِئَةً. وَكانَ كُلُّ خُبْزِهِمْ يابِساً أوْ مُتَعَفِّناً أوْ مُتَكَسِّراً.
