» ¡Deja oír, Jesbón, tus lamentos! La ciudad de Hai será destruida. Y ustedes, mujeres de Rabá, ¡griten y vístanse de luto! ¡Lloren de tristeza y rodeen las colinas! Milcón será llevado en cautiverio, junto con sus sacerdotes y sus príncipes.

Howl, O Heshbon, for Ai is spoiled; cry, ye daughters of Rabbah, gird yourselves with sackcloth; lament and run to and fro by the hedges, for their king shall go into captivity, and his priests and his princes together.
