G emi, Heşbonule, căci Ai este distrus! Strigaţi, fiice ale Rabei! Încingeţi-vă cu saci şi bociţi; alergaţi încoace şi încolo de-a lungul zidurilor, căci Moleh se duce în captivitate, împreună cu preoţii şi conducătorii lui!

Howl, O Heshbon, for Ai is spoiled; cry, ye daughters of Rabbah, gird yourselves with sackcloth; lament and run to and fro by the hedges, for their king shall go into captivity, and his priests and his princes together.
