« Gemi o Heshbon, perché Ai è devastata; gridate, o borgate di Rabbah, cingetevi di sacco, innalzate lamenti, correte qua e là entro i recinti del gregge perché Malkam va in cattività insieme ai suoi sacerdoti e ai suoi principi.

Howl, O Heshbon, for Ai is spoiled; cry, ye daughters of Rabbah, gird yourselves with sackcloth; lament and run to and fro by the hedges, for their king shall go into captivity, and his priests and his princes together.
