D acă, vorbind în felul oamenilor, m'am luptat cu fiarele în Efes, care-mi este folosul? Dacă nu înviază morţii, atunci,, să mîncăm şi să bem, căci mîne vom muri``.

If, after the manner of man, I have fought with beasts in Ephesus, what is the profit to me if dead do not rise? let us eat and drink; for to-morrow we die.
