S e soltanto per fini umani ho lottato con le belve a Efeso, che utile ne ho? Se i morti non risuscitano, «mangiamo e beviamo, perché domani morremo».

If, after the manner of man, I have fought with beasts in Ephesus, what is the profit to me if dead do not rise? let us eat and drink; for to-morrow we die.
