W hat do I gain if, merely from the human point of view, I fought with beasts at Ephesus? If the dead are not raised, let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we will be dead.

If, after the manner of man, I have fought with beasts in Ephesus, what is the profit to me if dead do not rise? let us eat and drink; for to-morrow we die.
