V oi sfărîma zăvoarele Damascului, şi voi nimici cu desăvîrşire pe locuitorii din Bicat-Aven, împreună cu cel ce ţine toiagul de cîrmuire în Bet-Eden; şi poporul Siriei va fi dus rob la Chir, zice Domnul.``

I will break also the bar of Damascus and cut off the inhabitant from the plain of Aven or On, and him who holds the scepter from Beth-eden; and the people of Syria shall go into exile to Kir, says the Lord.
