F araonul Egiptului se dusese, capturase Ghezerul şi-i dăduse foc. Îi omorâse pe canaaniţii din cetate şi i-o dăduse ca zestre fiicei sale, soţia lui Solomon.

For Pharaoh king of Egypt had gone up and taken Gezer and burned it with fire. He killed the Canaanites who lived in the city, and then gave it as a wedding-gift to his daughter, Solomon’s wife.
