I l faraone, re d’Egitto, era salito a impadronirsi di Ghezer, l’aveva data alle fiamme e aveva ucciso i Cananei che abitavano la città; poi l’aveva data per dote a sua figlia, moglie di Salomone.

For Pharaoh king of Egypt had gone up and taken Gezer and burned it with fire. He killed the Canaanites who lived in the city, and then gave it as a wedding-gift to his daughter, Solomon’s wife.
